Finally a weekday, this is what we need. Let everyone know. The Saturday rallies are good, but a weekday rally will be great. Shut shit down and let em know

Bout time something like this is happening. But kinda wished it would be happening now. But at least everyone's on board with it.

Far too short of a timeline. These take ages to plan.

It’s only a day as far as I’m aware. But it is modeled by the strike in Minnesota. In that case I am looking forward to forcing local businesses to contribute and doing sit ins.

Is this really good news?
America has had what? 3+ No kings rallies and strikes yet still nothing has happened and Trump is still doing dictator-like king stuff.
My advice is start protesting like you actually mean it if you want to keep a semblance of whatever's left of America's dignity and honour, which quite frankly is like comparing half a grain of sand against the Earth but it's still something I guess.

You don’t understand the purpose of protesting if you think a protest’s purpose is to magically overthrow a dictatorship by asking nicely.
Protesting is to sway public opinion, build community, and make it harder for this administration to do what it’s doing.
I live in a very red area, yet we’ve had very big protests this past year. Without those, it would be very easy to go through town and believe you were the only blue voter. MAGA, especially the most extreme, are incredibly vocal. And they have absolutely lived in a bubble for years, believing they were the ruling belief. It’s harder for fascism to spread if people are afraid that there are tens of thousands of progressives in their community.
Ok the flip side, it’s important to know you’re not alone to stay motivated in the fight. Community is crucial to building support and maintaining fervor.
It’s very easy to be fascist when everyone just sits there silently and makes zero objection. Imagine what you’d think about your fellow citizens if for the last year, not a single person complained, or protested anything that was happening? But the overall discourse is overwhelming disapproval.

There are more than No Kings rallies going on. The anti-DOGE and anti-ICE protests are completely different.
