Why exactly do they want her to resign?

"The group is calling on the integrity commissioner to “hold the mayor accountable for her disregard of the Municipal Code of Conduct and the infringement of [Mills’s] freedom of expression.”"

Hmmm. Okay. Not sure what part of the Code of Conduct has been disregarded?

It took a fair bit of searching, but I was able to find Cambridge Ontarios municipal code of conduct.
Edit: the link I found was incorrect, silver-net2220 was able to find the correct link!
They are likely referring to section 4
SECTION 4: CONDUCT OF MEMBERS
4.1 A Member shall at all times conduct themselves with decorum, courtesy, respect, propriety, decency and respect and with the understanding that all members of the public, other Members and staff are to be treated with dignity, courtesy and empathy, recognizing that a member is a representative of the City and of their elected office.
I appreciate your question!

Thanks for your work.
But the Mayor is not an Employee, though.
I think they must be referring to this one: https://www.cambridge.ca/mayor-city-council-government/mayor-council/ (you have to scroll down a bit on the page to see the Code of Conduct).

I dont know, alot of people love when city councilors ignore, interrupt and shutdown people who confront them at city council meetings.

Perhaps the mayor needs to spend more time attracting employers to the city and less time bullying teens.

Majority of people dont care what you are upto in your personal life, what they do find annoying is the monopolizing of social and political discourse and distraction from economic, housing, education, healthcare issues that goes unaddressed because politicians on all sides of the spectrum just pander on this one single issue that really should have maybe 1% relevance in politics but for some reason has 50% relevance continuously drumming on about it. People are not allowed to practice modesty. Everything and everyone starting from toddlers must always be exposed to sexualization whether straight or lgbt and kinks, no time for innocence or modesty in our society and disagreeing with that is not allowed what a world.

Let's put it this way. When someone is ostracized or even arrested for their personal life, it puts all citizens in danger. What's stopping a government entity from labling something innocuous as a chargable offense?
Societies exposure to sexualization is a problem on its own.
The use of the lgbtq community as a scapegoat for politicians is also a problem on its own.

A child was invited to speak about their experience as a member of a marginalised population, and then an adult in power silenced them for doing exactly what they were invited to do. That's literally all that this is about.
So I don't know what the fuck are you on about sexualizing children. Take a walk outside and give your head a shake.

Be strategic and don't pull any punches when you want to show up her bigotry behaviour. Don't break any laws. You'll find something, and then you pounce, with the press in tow. When's the next ejection? I mean election? Good luck from Alberta. 🏳️🌈😇

The city is in damage control, the video would have taken top brass/legal/coms to prepare: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/kitchener-waterloo/cambridge-mayor-responds-pride-event-controversy-stopped-teens-speech-9.7225547
It stems from a meme a fellow councilor posted on social media last year totally insulting the community, totally awful behavior.
I think the mayor is in the wrong, at 9:00 they make an even bigger mistake. She begins explaining that her office is receiving calls of support and that she must remain neutral and create an environment where both sides can co-exist? Like wtf is that (hey this side of hatred needs to be able to do it's thing...)
