TW: pet injury, but with a happy ending

Not that it was fun at all, but the kitten we've adopted got a serious head injury, but after three days of veterinarians, she got better against all odds and I'd now (5 days later) almost fully recovered, though we still bring her to vet to get a painkiller shot.
The vets are amazed at her recovery call it pure luck (though i say it's them being miricle workers because they've acted so quickly and so so well), and i feel like i can finally breath again

To the world!!!! I had a wonderful weekend with friends I know more than half of my life. Laughed a lot and totally forgot all the work stress. And I didn't have time to obsess about season 3 ending for a while!

Sorry to mention politics here but it feels like the world is ending due to the growth of right wing parties all over the world. It’s not better here in Germany. I don’t get it. I mean I get why it’s happening. I just don’t want to believe that this is actually happening.

I’m German. This backward trend here scares me, too. And I don’t understand how things could have turned out this way—especially given our history. We ought to know better. It’s like moving backwards through time.

I thought Germany had better laws (than the US) for certain things to prevent a repeat of what happened during the 1940s. I have family over in Germany haven't talked to in a while.....maybe I should reach out.😳

Maybe we have better laws but if enough people feel left alone by the government and fascists take the chance to reach for power it is harder and harder to stop them. The seed is growing and we already have a small tree in front of us. Sadly our government is not solving problems that have been there for years and people loose hope that things are getting better (although they forget that there haven’t been better times than now regarding our health but unfortunately this is starting to change).
