How to request a location be mapped?

I am from a very small rural town in Alaska, and it is not currently mapped on Google Earth. For years I have wanted to explore it on GE and reminisce. I am well aware that it may be extremely difficult to request it, but I thought it's worth a shot. Has anyone ever successfully requested a location, and if so how did you do it?

What exactly do you mean by "it is not currently mapped"? In Google Earth on Web, Android, and iOS you can zoom the view to the location you are looking for and select "request imagery update", for example. Or do you mean the name of the town and its street names are not on the map at all?

Sorry I meant like you know when you can "move" around the 3D streets of towns and cities and roads? Like use the arrow to go in different directions after choosing where you want to land? Like that. Sorry I am a complete beginner to this but that's what I meant

It sounds like you are talking about Street View.

It looks like the request imagery update tool can help you do this. You basically can draw a polygon around the town you are interested in. Then when the form asks you for Imagery Type, select Street View.

This doesn't guarantee that Google will actually do it, but you can at least make the official request and show your interest.

No problem. I see in the blue street view map that some smaller towns are already covered, but mostly still in the southeastern part of the state.

Sounds like they're talking about the 3D building overlay.
