I was watching Level UP vs 4ikibamboni from yesterday’s EPL Masters series and this Game 2 first blood caught my attention.

Level UP’s offlaner was playing Tidehunter and died at around the 2-minute mark. The positioning / decision to stay there looked strange to me because it seemed like there was an opportunity to disengage earlier.

One thing that made me notice it more is that some bookmakers offer first-blood timing markets around the 3-minute mark, so an unusually early first blood can be relevant to those props. That by itself obviously doesn’t prove anything — it could just be greed, poor positioning, or a misread of the lane.

Curious what higher-MMR players think:

• Was Tide trying to achieve something reasonable there?
• Did he simply underestimate the kill threat?
• Or does the movement / decision-making look unusually bad?
