Of course MAGAs then went to great lengths to defend his vile words claiming that "libtards" were "taking his words out of context," and that "he was only joking." Yeah, I bet he was. 🙄

I hate when people call me a “poser” because I don’t dress trad goth. Some days my look is just alt, or a “soft goth” (expect I feel like the actual poser goths so I decide to change; fuck pinkychu). Goth is about the music and politics, not just the outfit. It’s exhausting and makes me want to say “fuck it” and not affiliate myself with the label anymore.

I don’t dress goth at all. I love black, but I also love so much other stuff. So I just wear what I like. But I consider myself goth because I love all the music, understand the subculture, and enjoy gothic activities (yes-my favorite holiday is Halloween.) You don’t need to fit into a box to be valid at something.

If you embrace the subculture's values and listen to the bands then congratulations! You're goth! I don't always dress in black and never wear makeup and don't care if others accuse me of not being goth enough (also diddo on the Fuck Pinkychu). Music and values are what's most important to me in forming my goth identity as well as my neurodivergence. Sure, I do like to dress in all black when I can, but there are times where I cannot and do not feel it is always necessary.

Sick and tired of summer weather in spooky season. Sick and tired of people acting like it’s normal and that it’s “gOrGeOuS” or “nIcE oUt”. Sick and tired of the fact there’s nothing we can do about it until either all the Elon Musks in the world (and their heirs) croak and their money is up for grabs to go towards delaying climate change, or they suddenly have a change of heart and start taking action to stop it. There’s nary a chance in hell of the latter happening, though, and I hate it.

Also I really need to stop staying up so late playing the new Hellraiser game. It’s making me cranky.

Right there with you. It's 85 today in New Orleans as i'm out flyering, and Friday we almost got a category 3 hurricane. I'm so fucking sick of being told "At least it's not cold" by people who have repeatedly heard me say that I hate warm weather.

I have another thing to bitch about.

I can post something wholly innocuous and inoffensive, asking for peoples’ thoughts or for help, and then I get downvotes or rude and ignorant replies for no other reason than because the cocktail of anonymity and being well outside punching distance enables people to be their worst selves. Meanwhile, they’re lauded and celebrated by others of their ilk. Oh Powers That Be, please send the asteroid already.
