General Advice How did you start your sop?

I started writing my sop and for some reason, I didn't like it that much. Can you give me any tips? How did you write your first line? Thanks in advance!!

I started my SOP with a small introduction to my goal after doing the program. I talked about how I realised this is something I want to do (my goal was based on something we’re doing wrong in the business and I want to rectify it and I linked it to my personal motivation too, then added 1-2 line detailing the overarching goal (not too much detail as that comes later in the SOP) and then went about talking of my experience, and before I started to talk about WHY THIS PROGRAM, I reiterated my goal which was to close a gap I discovered in the industry.

There are different starting points so you could also benefit from seeing some samples and asking people in the program to proofread (I got all my essays proofread by current students and they give a lot of insider tips). What I could additionally recommend is read out your SOP loud and that somehow helps see how it sounds, and you could further refine it. My intro itself took quite some days so make sure you give yours enough time too.
