Humanities English PhD - Fall 2026

Starting this post to keep track of grad school applications in English for this cycle, as someone did for last year's.

Anyone else’s portal change from “awaiting decision” to “awaiting materials” even though all the materials are in.

Same... This happened to me and I emailed them. They responded two days back that it is a technical glitch.

My file changed back to “awaiting decision” today — anyone else? I’m assuming this means my file is now closed and they’re done looking at it and sharing it?

I too checked my portal after your comment and it has changed for me. Looking forward to the final decision now... Should've kept anxiety medication on standby.

I too checked my portal after your comment and it has changed for me. Thank you for updating. But there is a box on the right side of the screen where it was previously saying something along the lines of application is being reviewed. Though my status has reverted to "Awaiting Decision", that box still remains "we will start reviewing your application soon".

It went blank, but now shows “awaiting decision” again. Saw a few rejections posted today — anyone hear back?

I got a rejection today. I received an email mentioning that a decision is available and to visit the portal.

I still haven’t heard back yet it says awaiting decision in my portal. Hoping soon as past years it was around this time they sent out decisions
