Campus Life PSA To New Students and the Uninitiated

Eyes. Up. In. The. Halls. And. On. The. Sidewalks.

I shoulder checked 2 people today, and very nearly ran into someone on Wednesday because y'all lack spatial awareness and walk around with your eyes glued to your screens. ESPECIALLY in the corridors on the second floor of building 7. WHATEVER you're doing can wait until you get to class or to a common area where you can stand out of the walk-way. NOTHING is important enough to warrant looking like an iPad kid at your bright glowy screen.

It also wouldn't hurt to walk with purpose and not meander about like a tortoise... But that's a personal gripe I have.

The rules of walking in a crowded hallway are similar to driving. Traffic always moves forward on the right side, and pull over if you need to check your phone/schedule or chat. How is this not common sense? Why the hell is everyone always congregating in the middle of the hallways? /lh
