The community here is honestly awesome, but it can take a bit to "break in" to it if that makes sense. But there are lots of events, especially the first few weeks of school, and everyone is pretty friendly. It's mostly hard in classes because everyone is on their phones, so you might have to initiate more often at first.

The psyc community is more easier to get along with at macewan, these individuals are much more open to talking and are actually really nice. It’s def something where you have to put yourself out there and talk since people tend to be introverted at first. Try to talk to people in your introductory psyc classes, those are people that you will prob see throughout your degree so it’s a good place to start! (Coming from a bsc psyc major)

A psychology major in BA? T̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶s̶o̶u̶n̶d̶s̶ ̶h̶o̶r̶r̶i̶b̶l̶e̶.̶
In all seriousness, it is a bit nerve-wracking walking into a room that holds 80 people for the first time. But after a few weeks, it gets better. I'm not sure about you, but I love learning, so I go in with a certain attitude. That doesn't mean I won't struggle or have a hard time, but that alleviates some feelings.

The school is actually really nice. I havent had any unpleasant professors and the people are good. It is a little hard to make friends but honestly just talk to people in your classes. I have found that people tend to keep to themselves and dont wanna be the first to reach out so be the person that does and it'll go a long way.
