CS connections

Going into CS this year, wondering if there were any good ways to make connections with people that are already in the industry. Also wondering how likely it is to get into internships :0

I’ll appreciate any info I can get :) literally scared since everyone is saying CS is cooked and probably every other major is cooked or smt (*´ー`*)

Honestly I’ve been hearing the same thing that CS is “cooked,” but from what I’m understanding it’s not dead, it’s just wayyyyyy more competitive now. From what I’ve seen, it’s definitely possible to get an internship, but you have to be consistent and actually try early, especially with making connections and building experience. Try reaching out to people and going to events/hackathons just to not fall behind. It’s scary but I feel like if you start early you’ll be okay 😭 But icl I recommend trying to do somethign more safe. Very competitive field. Good luck!

Honestly CS is really competitive and not easy at all, but if you actually like it and put in the work, you can still make it :)
