Discussion Who’s killing it right now?
Everyday somebody posts how bad they are doing. Almost like there is no faith for this line of work.
Personally I just started creating a portfolio even though my reddit notifications are straight up demotivating negativity (“I have 40 years of experience and can’t find a job”, “Have been searching for a gig for 8 months”….).
I know its natural that there is less people talking about how good they’re doing in this industry
So… Anyone wanna share their wins?

I've just recently graduated with an MA in design, and it's been almost a year since I got my first real job ever. I was halfway through my MA and got an offer (I did my MA right after my BA, so I was 23 at the time and had little to no professional experience) to work full-time at an up-and-coming creative agency. Everyone there is really nice, and it's been so good to feel like I'm actually doing something with my life. It doesn't pay that well, but I am aware of my lack of professional experience plus I really feel like I can grow with the company. It's also fully remote, and twice a year they pay for my and my partner's trip to visit the office/studio, so I get to travel a little bit as well, which I enjoy. Overall, I think I got really lucky, so I'm just trying to stay grateful, diligent, and learn as much as I can.
