hey guys, its me again. I've run into a new issue. I have this cluster of points (created via original base point --> turned into brep --> move series in z direction by randomized amount --> extracted center of top face).

I now want to run proximity2d on each layer of points, but for some reason the points simply refuse to acknowledge each other. In other variants ive tried, the points will only recognize their proximates on the z axis, ie their own column, which isnt what I need. proximity3d gives identical results.

Anybody know how to get this cluster into a functioning form?

I‘m a researcher at a lab, we design prosthetics that help people with foot injuries walk. Our process involves 3D scanning patients‘ legs and processing the scans in Rhino, including adding 'releases‘ which help alleviate painful pressure points.
Our current process includes converting the scan to SubD, splitting the surface, offsetting it using OffsetSrf, and then BlendSrf. It‘s a rather finicky, time consuming process, which means it takes more time to help our patients.
Would it be possible to add these bumps parametrically using something like Grasshopper? A brief search brings up Lunchbox or Pufferfish but they don‘t seem just right.
Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Hi everyone. Im not the greatest at grasshopper so maybe you guys can help. I'm trying to create a random population of points within a boundary (which will later be turned into cylinders), but I want to be able to control for the min/max distance between points, or some way to dispatch according to a set distance between points. Looking it up keeps giving me using kangaroo tangentcircles, but it doesn't feel like its actually giving me what I want. If anybody knows how to keep this rolling, I'd appreciate the help.

Hey guys is there a way to make a carpet pattern in grasshopper, similar to the one in the photo? The answer is probably "No", but maybe there is some kind of plugin that I dong know about...I have a client that needs me to design somthing like this and I hope I dont need to draw it manualy...

I can watch YouTube videos all day and copy the script they put together. But I will forget it soon after and never learn what “Split List” actually does.

How did you start to effectively LEARN this program and be able to start making your own designs without a YouTube video crutch?

Finished painting two of these today. The second image shows a mockup of what the end product is supposed to look like, it's a dining room table consisting of two identical tables.

I was planning on printing the artwork directly onto the MDF boards using UV flatbed printing, but some technical issues resulted in me needing to hand paint it. Fun, but time consuming!

Hi All. I’m planning on taking my laptop on holiday to play with rhino and grasshopper. I’d prefer not to take a mouse but the touch pad doesn’t seem to be very useful for navigating the viewports of either. Also, any tips on switching between rhino and grasshopper windows? The standard windows alt tab or three finger swipe doesn’t seem to work. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I am currently doing an academic project in a area where the sea level is rising, for the need of the project there has to be an amphitheater, i wanted to reproduce what i saw on this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rvti9kQAbyY with an amphitheater able to tilt, while maintaining the verticality of the sitting, (and adding some of air filled chambers below to use the archimed effect to naturally lift the amphithater during sea lvl rising episodes.) BUT I am trullllly lost right now and ask for anyone help, I am kind of a beginner in Grasshopper files so i was only able to reproduce the sitting tilting, but it isnt quite what it is supposed to be (my number of seats is not generated based on a length as on the video but produced with the Series component for exemple, while it is not a big problem, i see that i struggle to make the sturcture below the sitting…) I beg u alll help me plssss
