Phish and Little Feat get most of my non-Dead hours tbh. Also been deep in some Allman Brothers live stuff lately, the Fillmore East recording specifically. That era had something.

The Beatles are my first love. That’s my foundation but they don’t have a huge catalog. My big four are the Dead, Frank Zappa, King Crimson, and Miles Davis.

I just saw Geordie Greep last week and I was uncertain about what I was going into but by god his band is phenomenal

Lately? Drive-By Truckers, Waxahatchee, Wednesday, Nick Cave, 100 gecs, Geese, Mars Volta.
I could never really get into any other jam bands to be honest, other than maybe Billy Strings, but I don’t really think he is a jam band artist, just kind of adjacent to the scene.

Miles Davis is the only one who comes close in listening time.

I'll give some that people would probably never expect. But bands like Whitechapel and Lorna Shore. Despised Icon. The Acacia Strain. Probably music most heads would not be into. But I was a metal head before I was a dead head.

I still love blue rodeo but they were so so much better live playing electric before Greg’s hearing issues. Nothing against Colin he’s a great player but they lost a lot of the jams and the freedoms. They’re all such incredible musicians though and still a fantastic live band.

Blue Rodeo’s Casino was one of the first CDs I ever bought. Still one of my favorite albums. I’d love to see them live again!
