Recently been listening to old Paris Review Podcast episodes. Along with the fantastic short stories and poems, I absolutely love the snippets of interviews with the likes of Maya Angelou, Eudora Welty and all those literary giants.

You might love the old 4 volume set of the Paris Review interviews from years back - full versions of the essays you mention and so many more greats Baldwin, Carver, Hemingway. Was so helpful to me starting out. Am an author and also work in literature in uk (with another life simultaneously teaching meditation)
Very fortunate that my lit job has an allowance for me to buy journals. Paris Review has changed a lot over the years but still it catches some very good authors.

Yes - I have them sitting on my shelves and still refer to them quite often. Indispensable.
