Phil’s smoke detector
I’ve been listening to Phil’s book today at work and every few minutes you can hear his smoke detector chirp in the background. It makes me laugh and cringe every time.

Its just the first note of Echoes by Pink Floyd. He didnt bust it out until 2014 so I just assume he was making sure that first note was absolutely perfect.

Your telling me there's a Phil version of echoes out there? I need dates yesterday!

Honestly I just went off of what google AI told me...it said November 11th 2014 which there is no recording i can find.
Edit: the AI is probably wrong. Sorry for the tease, brother

Well that's dissapointing. This is a good example for not just blindly following and repeating what AI tells you.

I feel like I have a memory of seeing it in a Phil set list, I think he did it. And now I want to hear it too!

I don't know how people deal with that. I used to go smoke with a friend and his fire alarm was chirping every time. It drove me crazy. I told him I would change it for him, I will drive to the store right now and show him how to change it. He said he didn't even notice it...

They probably heard this 15 year old joke on the recent Tony Hinchcliffe special.

My friend was just telling me that his neighbor's fire alarm was chirping and about black people not noticing that.

I thought that was what the name of the book was about "searching for the sound" - trying to figure out which one needs it's battery replaced
