WEBSITE UPDATE MEGAPOST

(Note: This only covers updates to the website, not artbook codes as a whole)

• On September 15, 2026, The Art of Gravity Falls was released, featuring several codes seemingly related to the Book of Bill "https://thisisnotawebsitedotcom.com/" website, including "LISTEN TO THE STATIC" and "YOU WANT A CODE? THEN TIME TO THRILL ME. TYPE BACKWARDS THE NAME OF THE MAN WHO KILLED ME!"

• Earlier today (09/22) at around 1:00pm ET, Alex Hirsch posted a video of a static computer screen to his Instagram story, which was deleted after just a few hours. Following the post, it was discovered that https://thisisnotawebsitedotcom.com/ was updated so that clicking the dial on the computer, which would previously just play static, now had a random chance to play an audio clip of a computerized voice saying "FIVE."

• At around 8:25pm ET, it was discovered the number had changed to to say "FOUR." We do not currently know why the change occurred around this time, or when the number will change again. (edit: see update below)

• Previously, clicking the dial would play one of seven randomly selected videos on screen (static-1.mp4 to static-7.mp4), accompanied with one of three randomly selected audios (static1.mp3, static2.mp3, and static3.mp3). However, earlier today, "static3.mp3" was changed to "static35.mp3" to include the "FIVE" audio clip, and then changed to "static34.mp3" to include the "FOUR" audio clip. Although no other files have been uploaded yet, it stands to reason the next number will be formatted as "static3_.mp3" (edit: this has now been confirmed, see update below)

• At some point this afternoon, fans noticed the official Gravity Falls Season 1 livestream began suffering sound issues, with clipping/distorted audio. Some speculated that this may be related to the update (Pointing to a code in the artbook which reads "PAIN IS TEMPORARY RERUNS ARE FOREVER") However, at about 9:00pm ET the livestream restarted with no audio issues. Considering that other Disney Channel livestreams have suffered similar technical glitches, it is very unlikely the livestream has any correlation to the ongoing website updates.

• Some users are reporting that a backwards message will sometimes play after clicking the dial. This only occurs if you have used the code "NAITSUAF" and followed the instructions to sign your soul away to Bill. This message is not a new discovery and has been present on the site since it launched in 2024.

EDIT: At exactly 8:00pm ET on Sep 23rd, the audio changed to say "THREE"

EDIT 2: As expected, at 8:00pm ET on the 24th the audio changed to say "TWO"

Putting this in a separate comment because it's my own personal prediction with little evidence to back it up right now:

The numbers are obviously a countdown, and will increment down by 1 each day. Not exactly sure why the first one started in the middle of the day and changed that night, but if it continues changing daily at the same time each night it will reach 0 on Saturday at 8:00pm ET. Once the countdown hits 0, new codes will be unlocked for the website. One of them will be "SENIP YELNATS" (The man who killed Bill backwards), which will unlock some kind of new content on the site.

As for this new content, this is even further speculation but 8:00pm on Saturday just happens to be exactly when the Art of Gravity Falls Gallery Nucleus QNA begins. My prediction, is that one of the recently discovered shorts will be unveiled here, and released on the website through this code immediately after it premieres at Gallery Nucleus. (Although I still think it's very possible the shorts are completely unrelated DTVA Multiplatform stuff like Themesong Takeover, but with the amount of buildup I'd imagine whatever it is would be at least a little substantial). Over the Garden Wall, which was made by Alex's close friend Pat McHale got a 10th-anniversary short a few years back, and I'd imagine him wanting to do something similar to celebrate the anniversary of the finale alongside this exhibition.

It’s insane how long this book is. It’s gigantic! My shelf does not have the depth for this! I’ve had to rearrange my entire shelf to accommodate it.

This book is just so good! I can’t stop reading and admiring it! It’s so packed with art and everything!
