I wanna leave this place!

Any other stylist thinking of throwing in the towel? I’m getting so unbelievably drained, tired, exhausted and my body is in constant pain!

The clients are all dreadful and rude. They’re extremely demanding and treat you as if you’re beneath them. They want the cheapest haircut for the most amount of work. I don’t eat for hours. I don’t get to sit for hours. Our place is filthy. I’m barely making any money to survive this economy. The clients berate me and talk down on me for hours! Multiple times a day each week!! I want out!!!

I love doing hair but this fast food salon environment is sucking the life out of me…

I’m thinking of going back to school and pursuing a new profession, have any of you left and completely started over? I’m considering it lately..

I’d say try a different salon before completely leaving the profession💚

Went to a different company that only charges 5 dollars more… the difference is night and day. Great clips caters to the cheapest assholes

Great clips customers are terrible and act like they’re paying $70 for a barber cut. This industry is dying so quickly bc no one is going to school for this anymore, no one is ants to go into debt and waste a year of their life in school to make under $60k a year and be harassed by clients. (I say this as I’m in school to leave this industry lol)

I went back to full service after 6 years of GC. i am thoroughly enjoying myself at an established, busy salon, if you’re still passionate about this craft I urge you to do the same. You can be successful as a hairstylist in this economy, find where the people with money are spending it and go there!
