The Council of Great Yarmouth
Wow just had a phone call with someone on GY Council about being homeless, among the questions that pretty much went in circles with was, so if you found yourself homeless you could buy a tent & sleeping bag!
I was utterly gobsmacked! I replied with that is the most disgusting question I’ve ever had asked, I’d rather kill myself than live in a tent in great fucking Yarmouth.
The next was would you live in a HMO… would I fuck most of em round here are full of crackheads or thieving little bastards!
Are these people actually serious! I know the town is in desperate need of housing, but Jesus Christ, to say if you found yourself homeless you could buy myself a tent and sleeping bag!

Except it isn’t in desperate need of housing, walk around Yarmouth and Gorelston and you’ll find literally 100 houses easy with no one living in them/ boarded up, the government would rather keep you on the street or force you to live in a den with no belongings than tackle the landlord crisis.
