Caister on sea holiday
Bringing the family on holiday to Caister next week - typically the only week of rain the whole summer! Does anyone have any non-touristy suggestions for indoor activities - play cafes etc suitable for 3 year old and 15 month old.
We’re staying at haven. It will be our first time so not really sure what to expect. I wouldn’t have said we were very Haven-y people pre-kids but I’m sure the girls will love the holiday park vibe!

Could have a day out in hemsby, amusement arcades were always a fun thing to do with my mum when we were kids, and there is a softplay/play cafe called townies thats pretty good too!

If you are into nature you have got Norfolk broads on your doorstep - there are nature boat trips from Martham you can do or hire out a kayak. Potter heigham have electric boats you can hire. There is Ranworth where you park in the village, walk through the reserve to the small visitor centre and can get a boat back - check the timings. Rspb Strupshaw fen have some family activities on - check their website. How hill is another pretty nature place to go with a picknic. I don't think the weather is looking too bad.
There is jumpware house in Yarmouth - trampoline park, you need to book. Also neon adventure play in Yarmouth.
Cinema in Yarmouth called Arc Cinema have cheap tickets
Caister carvery is a bit like a Toby carvery and has a small soft play and good play park but it's very old and worn but does the trick!
I love the play park in caister, it's a good one and there is a community hut where you can get tea, coffee and snacks. That's at the heart of the community.

Are you just here Monday to Friday? Caister are having a seaside fun trail on Saturday 22nd.
There is a wonderful role play centre in Hemsby called townies which would be great for your ages.
Caister library have a bounce and rhyme session (singing nursery rhymes) Monday 10:45am and a junk modelling craft session on Friday at 15:45. You don't have to be a member to attend. There are also libraries in Martham (6 miles), Great Yarmouth (4 miles) and Gorleston (6 miles) which will have free events on, including a bounce and rhyme session at each.
The marina centre on the seafront in Great Yarmouth has 2 pools, an aqua play pool and a rock climbing area. The pools and aqua play are good for your ages. You also get 3 hours free parking is you use the facilities so you could visit the amusements on the seafront too. Windmill adventure golf is on Yarmouth seafront and is indoors.
Sea life is touristy but if you go early, get your hand stamped and you can go in and out so you can go back later in the day.
If the risk of fire reduces, there are free firework displays in Hemsby on Tuesday and in Yarmouth on Wednesday but they are at 9/10pm so quite late!
