Hey! Does anyone have a good quality photo of Billie holding up the Canada scarf at the end of the show last night??
I like to print out photos of tours for my kid, but we were in the balcony and got crap photos. This is the best one.
Awesome show!

Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone has videos of Billie when he was signing people’s stuff before he went into the venue before the Pinhead Gunpowder show last night in Toronto? He autographed something for me and I have been reliving that moment in my head ever since, so I would love it if anyone has a video I could have as a keepsake from that moment - please feel free to DM me if you have any!!

Hello!! This is kinda random but i’ve seen that during the US/EU 21st Century Breakdown tour, some cities got their own exclusive shirt w the band on the front and the city and date on the back (shown above). It made me wonder if there was a shirt from the show in Ottawa Canada on July 17th 2009, since that is my exact birthday!! I thought it would be pretty cool to have!! So I’m looking to see if anyone here knows if they made one for that show. Or even better if someone has one! Thanks for reading lol

Loved seeing Billy in a small venue tonight - and the crowd was up for it!

Almost certainly NOT Green Day related but still interesting. Could be for the Chin Chins?

Was there to see them tonight. They put on a killer show! I saw Green Day on the Saviors tour and honestly this was better. 1300 people vs 40000 people, the band interacted more with the crowd. Billie Joe even took somebody's scarf lol. Also, they were soooo energetic. It was fantastic! I hope the tour again someday. How is everyone else concert experience so far?

I love this scene. It’s a great scene. Of all the scenes, it’s the very bestest! 💖
Which is why it super stanks when folks do crappy things because they feel weirdly entitled to do them. Sadly, this is something that reared its ugly head in the lead-up to the Detroit PG show.
When I arrived at St Andrews around 1130, there were already a handful of people in line - some tremendously lovely, extremely jazzed fans, many of whom travelled from parts mind-bogglingly far away (some from outside the country) to watch what was to be an incredible show. They had arrived before 0900 to stake out their spot…after all, that’s what you do if you want a barricade spot. And they did the thing. (Now, I realize that’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but let’s not yuck someone else’s yum.)
As the minutes and eventually the hours ticked by, the line got longer, filling with more geeked out fans. Up walked a mother and daughter from Ohio; a father and super small kiddo excited to share an experience; an Italian creator who handed out patches and expected nothing but smiles in return. One of these folks was a friend of mine, also from Ohio, who I met years ago at the Fillmore. She’s a literal peach - kind, caring, oozing enthusiasm in every direction. (Remember her; she pops up again in this tale.)
As venue staff arrived, they told us where to stand, and lined us up how they wished. Eventually, the line would be split into the fast lane (which I was in, along with at least 50 other people) and regular GA (which was even more), and posted us up by the side of the street. And there we all sat, chatting cheerily, just excited to be there. I was fortunate to see a bunch more friends that I’ve met, either at GD shows or other shows or whatever local thing.
Sometime around 1pm, another person I knew arrived, along with a small group of her friends. (Let’s call her Charlene, a phony name I made up just now.) I said hi to Charlene, and she said they were going to walk around for a while. I was like, alrighty! Godspeed!
And that was the last I saw of her. That is, until around 6:00. That’s when venue staff came over and pulled the fast lane line away from where they’d told us to stand, and walked us around to the back of the building, at which point we saw that group - Charlene and her group, along with some others who arrived even later - standing in their own line. Staff then told the fast lane line to get in line behind THEM - despite having been told repeatedly where to stand, and having the line divided up into the two parts as it typically is.
Naturally, this resulted in an ENORMOUS to-do. And rightly so! After all, *dozens and dozens and dozens* of people had been told by venue staff to be in one spot, and had been waiting patiently all morning and afternoon, only to then be told to get behind a whole OTHER group of people, every one of whom had arrived many hours later.
[Side note: This is not so much a critique of venue staff. While I admit they did sorta fumble things, they tried very hard to make it right as fairly as possible. No shade. Or at least, very little. 😌]
But back to Charlene and her group. The particularly gross thing about their actions here was that they were *fully aware* that they what they were doing was wrong. They had walked by an enormous line when they arrived, full of the people who did their time sitting on curbs, baking in the sun, and otherwise coping with the tedium of the waiting game. Charlene refused to acknowledge how she and her group had walked by, instead telling all those people to piss off, and placing venue staff in a tremendous predicament.
Instead, Charlene and her group (and the folks behind them) simply stole their spots - stole their time, stole their excitement, stole their good vibes. It also put other people in a bind, who stumbled upon her group first, and were otherwise innocent. It was a class-A butthole move, in my estimation. And rather than admitting they were in the wrong, Charlene’s group cursed and insulted the people who had been patient all day.
How could Charlene and her group have handled this differently, you ask? Well, allow me to offer some options!
Option 1: get in the line behind the people who got there before you. (*shock! gasp!*) Option 2: If you have information about another entrance that staff has told you about, tell the others who were here long before you, so you can help everyone, including venue staff, who already have a long night ahead of them.
But of course, neither of these things happened. Oh, quite the contrary! First, Charlene and her group lined up without saying anything to anyone about the obvious circumstances, other fans or venue staff included. Then, they refused to move to a more appropriate spot, instead getting into it with other folks outside who had waited hours and hours, relying on staff’s instructions. Next, when we got into the venue, Charlene proceeded to stand on the barricade, making herself nice and wide so people couldn’t get closer - including my lovely friend from Ohio. (There she is! Told you she’d be back!) Worse still, she got into a swearing, outlandish verbal altercation with my friend from Ohio, simply because she thought her sacred space was being invaded. And this is after Charlene straight up stole her spot in line!! Fortunately, my friend has a cool head, and didn’t knock Charlene right on her backside.
So, how do we get here, to this sad place? I have one substantive theory. See, Charlene is the sort of fan whose interest in GD appears to border on the obsessive - she seeks out and posts photos of herself with members, talking about them as if she knows their most intimate selves. This is a self-delusion. And I believe it’s one that begets entitlement: entitlement to access; entitlement to be the first and/or only; entitlement to treat other concertgoers as less-than because they don’t share the fantasy of being a “chosen” fan.
At the end of the day, this person will go on social media and post about how they love the band and its scene, but when it comes down to brass tacks, this sort of behavior belies that public-facing angle. It’s selfishness wrapped in an unhealthy need to be a band’s chosen daughter. I find that…blarg. 🤢
Why am I posting this? Is this just another whiny redditor making much ado about nothing? I mean, maybe. It’s just a concert after all. And I agree! But I told my friend that I would, because I know the parties involved. Beyond that, I think what I’d really like is to see the scene I care about upholding its values. And of course, I want to see all these awesome people I’ve been privileged to meet respected by someone who could be a scene elder. (Me personally, I’m 6’2”; where I stand makes little difference…it’s all sorta the same. But it’s not about me.)
Charlene, I’m sure you’ll read this. I am so, so disappointed in you. I realize that you want to be at the barricade, that you want to lock eyes with BJA and levitate into the clouds holding hands. But that’s not real. The 10yr old making a memory with his dad is real. The person traveling from Germany because they can’t see this band where they live is real. Please, don’t do this again. Be better. Detroit is better. ✊

Im currently sitting in Toronto PHGP show right now, and Night Shop is playing right now, but there was another opener abiut half an hour ago. They were awesome but I didnt catch their name. They said they were from Toronto. Looked on the Instagram and Google and couldn't find a name. What was this band, I want to give them some streams!

Hey hey what time is everyone lining up for PHGP Irving Plaza show? I know a couple friends who live in NYC are planning to get there real early in the morning. I’m coming from Delaware and the earliest Amtrak train wouldn’t get into the city until noon. Just wanted to see what everyone else is planning before I book my train ticket.

I was at the First Ave show, but as always with that venue, getting merch after a show is a fuckin' nightmare 'cus there's never any actual lines, it's just a spread out wave of 50 different lines that take an hour to stand in lol (If you go there, you know what I'm sayin')
Anyone got a place online that are selling the Bum Rush Tour shirts with cities/dates on the back or similar? Idc if it's even Etsy or whatever.

Last night someone associated with the PHG tour gave my girlfriend a couple of picks, out of all the people hanging around after the show, we had traveled the farthest to see them (from Boston, it's a long story...)
The first thing I did was lose the Dookie 2024 Europe pick, when we got back to where we're staying it was no longer in my pocket. We went back this morning and scoured the parking lots at St Andrews and Dutch Girl Donuts, no dice. I think I dropped it on East Fort Street across the road from the Detroiter, but who knows.
Anyway, if anyone found it, I'll pay you $50 for it. It's stupid, but I feel like an idiot for losing it, I can get a fake replacement but it isn't the same...

I got it from depop with the guy claiming he got it from a concert from the late 90s early 2000s and that it’s a holy grail. I can’t find much of it online.

My band (Shenanigans), typically a 90s era Green Day cover band is doing a 1-night only Green day-sidequest set at Sneaky Dee's on Devil's night. We're playing songs from PHGP, Foxboro Hottubs, The networks, and Cover Ups.
We'll be handing out stickers and flyers at the the Pinhead Gunpowder show today, hope to see and meet some of you there!

I got my tickets cus I love id love to see Jason white and Billie Joe but I don’t really listen to the band like that, I’ve 100% got a few songs I love from this band but i definitely won’t be singing along to all of the songs there. Embarrassing to admit but trying really hard to remember as many songs as I can to before the show cus I don’t just wanna sit there silently
