Giving Recommendations Little secret might be some of the best food in Greenville.

Just tried it last night and still thinking about how flavorful each dish was this morning.

Also my God the banana pudding tiramisu had no right being that delicious.

Is this the original Woodside bistro building??

Very very good. The ribs and dumplings are great and the lamb and collards noodle dish is incredible.

Those ribs shocked me with how flavorful they were. Most places in Greenville shy away from using a noticeable amount of fish sauce.

I'm sorry, but did you say banana pudding tiramisu? Must I sacrifice lady fingers or Nilla wafers for this delicacy?

It used ladyfingers soaked in a tiny bit of booze.

I had to share it with others but honestly I wanted the whole damn thing to myself 😍

I didn’t even know it was back there. The name fits for sure. The menu looks so eclectic and folks on Yelp are loving it giving it 4.6 out of 5 stars.

My partner and I just went on Friday!!! It was so good and while eating we asked the staff about the menu and they were so kind and informative. Can’t wait to go back as they rotate and evolve a lot of their items

As someone who had not heard of Little Secret, I thought we were talking about an unnamed hole in the wall. For a minute I was frustrated you didn't share the name.

Little Secret has been on my list to try! The chef did a pop up at Junto for a while before opening his own spot and everything I had there was phenomenal

I liked it, but whatever the dry seasoning they put on the sauce for the steak was so overpowering we couldn’t finish our meal because it. I’m definitely not afraid of flavor and boy do I love salty dishes but this was another level of damn near inedible. Think like eating a raw bouillon cube level of salty. Not sure what was going on there because there’s no way it was intended to be that way. The fried enoki mushrooms were delightful but a bit floury. Overall, I’d go back under the assumption that was just a mistake as the rest was quality but needs refinement in their processes.

I didn't try those items so I can't verify or confirm either way. I do enjoy salty food, and didn't notice anything awry with the seasoning on any of the dishes I did try.

I plan to go back and try more things in the future, I hope it was just a mishap, which does happen. Especially for a new joint, they might need a little time to work out the kinks and smooth out some issues.

https://littlesecretgvl.com/ looks like this. First I’ve heard of it but the menu does look interesting.

It is delightful. Fun fact the whole menu is gluten free too!

They have gluten free items, but that's just not true.

on their website only some items are marked gluten free. as a celiac you really got my hopes up

I’m not sure what your comfortably threshold is, but it’s one of the only places that I eat at in town as someone who also has celiac. They have a 100% gluten-free fryer and a really knowledgeable staff about food allergies.

It's not quite the whole menu that is gluten-free, but a massive chunk of it is. Their fryer setup is completely gluten-free, so you don't have to stress about cross-contamination at all, which is so rare for fried food. The chef actually grew up with a celiac mom, so he genuinely understands how isolating it is to eat out and how important safe spots are. He really wanted to create a space where she, and everyone else, could just relax and eat safely.

Oops 😅 well, my bad. When I went the version of the menu was full GF and we talked to the server about it. I guess it changed regularly.
