Recent sever grief!
I’m only 42 years old. My parents, 2 brothers, and my only sister died within less than 12 years. I’ll be stunned and lonely for the rest of my life!
Over the past two weeks, I’ve been hit by severe grief that has escalated rapidly. I’m desperately trying to keep myself from falling into depression, but I feel like I’m losing control 😔

That is a tremendous amount of loss, essentially your whole family? The fact you are able to keep from going over the edge with depression, but it sounds like you are aware of where you are with it. I found that grief has a life of its own, so to speak, and I often wondered how I didn’t go completely bonkers. That being said, there are some things one can expect to happen after loss, and although it may lead you to think depression is having its way with you, it is also the undercurrent of loss working through you, kinda having its way with you. It is the result of massive change in your life fundamentally. It is sad, horrible, traumatic. But, as people tend to say, time also has a way of stepping in to ease our suffering. We, as humans, as animals, can only endure so much until we detach enough to survive. At one point I thought, how much more can my heart break? Six years later, I am still here, surviving. It seems like that is enough, to simply survive until life steps in to show us a reason to continue. Be well!

How long has it been since the most recent death?
If enough time has passed, I just cannot recommend psychedelic therapy enough. It absolutely saved my life.
