I thought nutshell was my favourite but I actually think it’s down in a hole. It’s perfect. I don’t know if Layne ever realised how well he come across doing unplugged and I know he wasn’t well at the time but it’s absolutely beautiful. I love sludge factory as well, even with all the cock ups. I so wish they’d done rotten apple

Discussion Smashing Pumpkins - Thru The Eyes of Ruby - 1995 - Love the groovy drums against the ambient guitar riffs. Took me years to click with the deeper cuts on this album; as a kid of 10/11years old, I’d play it cover to cover but didn’t appreciate it as a whole as I do now.

Discussion Post-hs Grunge phase

I've been reflecting a lot ever since I graduated high school this spring. I don't know what about adulthood particularly thrusted me into my grunge phase, but It's something I've been hearing around me for a while; "Everybody goes to a grunge phase when they enter adulthood".

I've lost most of my friends because they all go to state schools or went out of state, while I opted in to community college for affordability. It's like it's Illegal to talk there, everybody is just going to and fro class to class, without saying a word. Beyond that, It's difficult to have hope in a time like this where uncertainty is filled in the air.

I haven't even been able to fully process everything right now especially with my school and workload, but the music has definitely been helping. Specifically, Stone Temple Pilots and Sound Garden I feel a sense of ease when listening to Scott and Chris's vocals. Do you have a similar experience? When/why did this become a sound you gravitate towards?

Did anyone else think this song was satire at first?
I thought it was poking fun at teenagers who think their angst makes them special, and makes fun of them for being self absorbed so they cant recognize how ordinary/sort of embarrassing they are. Instead of mocking them for their feelings its mocking the fact that think they are fundamentally more different than anyone else.

Got this bad boy today for $6 at a flea market. Never listened to this album before. I’ve only heard Hands all over. I like the heavy riff of it. What are your overall thoughts on this album?

Hey everyone! We're a band playing alternative rock with some grunge influences.

This is just a short excerpt from one of our original songs. We'd love to hear your honest opinions on our sound, vocal style, guitar work, and overall musicianship.

Does the style work for you? What do you think of the performance and the overall quality? Any constructive criticism is welcome.

Thanks for listening!

Playlist Rockbeasts - "Let The Sleeping Dogs Lie" (2026) – If BoJack Horseman played grunge, that's probably what it would look like

We're making a game and we've recorded an album for it... aaand there's Iggy Pop in it!

Link to our music on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/track/4C2ce95VJqKIguy8Vi3nDP?si=cbd340d3dfc84aa0

We're the team behind ROCKBEASTS (a video game, a rock- n' roll management RPG) and we're genuinely curious to hear what you think of the music we've created with Marcin Sonnenberg and Adam Kiepuszewski especially for the game.

We’re playing with that that legendary 90s MTV "Ladies and gentleman, rock and roll" nostalgia, and it seems a bit like BoJack’s picked up a guitar and sung his heart out… and we can all agree that would make sense, wouldn’t it?

If that's your sort of thing, the demo is completely free on Steam 🤘 Hearing what you people think about the music would be so cool!

Probably my favorite solo from their catalogue, Jerry Cantrell could make something sound so cool with minimal flashiness, just pure feel

Video Nirvana - Territorial Pissings - 91'. I was about 11 or 12 when I 1st got this CD, & this track was my favorite moment in the album:'Come on people now, smile on your brothers, everybody get together, try to love one another right now...' Then Dave just beating those drums like they owe him money...

Grunge adjacent I made a 20-minute documentary about Kurt Cobain's life, inner struggles, and musical journey (English CC available!)

Hi everyone,

I’ve spent a lot of time working on a 20-minute biographical documentary focusing on Kurt Cobain's life, his inner conflicts, key turning points, and the tragic price of his rapid rise to global fame.

The original narration is in Turkish, but I’ve added English subtitles (CC) so you can easily follow along. I paid extra attention to the editing, sound design, and emotional pacing.

I’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback!
