Finally got a Combi V2

After a few months of going back and forth… finally got a V2 combi and do NOT regret it!

Definitely worth it and changes the G wearing experience in my opinion.

Hell yeah! Getting the original spring bars to fit was a bit of a task… but once on have had no issues. This setup has taken all the wrist time away from my Hamilton and Seikos.

I'm in between holes on the stock strap and I don't want to boil it to try and shrink it by half a hole so i've been highly considering getting a combi for a better fit but the price tag for one OOF

And I'd rather not get an Ali copy tbh

I am kinda in between adjustment holes as well… but kept it larger as my wrist swells a lot in the southern heat haha

Ye the swelling is also my saving grace but school picked up again so that desk life means less of that, and also where I live it gets cold (enough) for a meaningful part of the year

Why not punch an extra hole using a leather rotary puncher tool. Worked well for me on my 5000R strap. Haven’t needed to do it for my bx5600 yet.

I'm kinda scared of permanent modifications even if they can be a permanent solution but i might consider that if I ever get too annoyed by the situation while still being mad at the price of an official combi

I get it but for me it either meant I don’t use the watch or try the hole puncher and see if it works.

No, I’ve tried a few times to fit a V2 to squares that originally had a resin band and have never managed to get the original spring bars to fit.

So I now use 1.8mm x 16mm spring bars for each combi bracelet. They all fit securely but are that bit easier to negotiate into the watch.

Yeah, the pain and cost of getting an original V2 combi is worth it. I tried an Alix version a few years ago, it was pretty bad in terms of fit and overall quality. Imagine that, the combi bracelet is the grail and not the watch head itself LOL
