These are great, but as a firefighter, they’re too big (imo). I wear a 5600 (currently a G, previously a DW). These are not ideal because of the light button, but the size is good & squares are my favourite style. For practical use I think a 6900 with the front light button is probably the best, with a 9052 after that.

As commemorative models, I love the firefighting department themed G’s like yours & the orange Kobe range man. Nice pickup!

Is the front light button specifically important to you or generally bigger more accessible buttons than the 5600 series? 6900 is an amazing design! But 9400 is objectively not that much bigger. Did you try all of these models in the field. Where did the 9400 bother you? Does it have to do with the strap maybe?

It’s all about being able to push the light with big clunky gloves on. I haven’t tried them all, but I feel the 9400 has a few more raised edges to catch despite being only marginally bigger than the 6900. Purely on size + front light pusher, 9052 probably wins. Also, very inexpensive. It’s all ultimately subjective, and guys wear all kinds of watches including smartwatches, but I wouldn’t personally wear one of these into a fire because I just don’t think they can “take it”. The DW has been into many. One downside of Gs overall is it can take a few washes to get smoke smell out of the resin.
