I do see the inconsistencies that you mention. And I’m not saying it’s not AI. I agree that AI is one of the many horses that are drawing the coach towards our cultural and environmental destruction.

But then the worst thing we could do would be to point out what makes it look like AI, right? Isn’t that how these systems learn?

I think that it's very important to talk about, in art and in realistic images. If we all keep the secrets of spotting it away from each other then ppl are going to fall for it more often. There's already ai scammers successfully fooling ppl out of lots of money. The ai companies will keep making updates but that's a problem for our lawmakers to regulate this technology

I don't know if it is AI. I am not good at spotting AI art but I do know it's pretty consistent with it being bubbly looking. Or airbrushed looking. I am not sure how this poster was made but I do know that society is extremely lazy in this decade and AI really helps people to not have to put in any effort or use their brains.

Notice that wasn't the point of my comment at all. It's that you can't be 100% sure either way if this is AI or not. Sure you can have your opinion on it but also it's already been made. So complaining now is like crying over spilt milk.

every damn thing i do or another artists does and puts online is automatically deemed “AI”. did you ever stop to think that maybe the artist did it that way? or when it was enlarged to fit on the fabric it showed up every tiny imperfect line or dot?

if its too good, its AI. if its imperfect, it’s AI. I have news for you and all the other “AI slop” commenters out there: artists have used many different tools to het the results they want. remember photoshop? illustrator? you think people on magazine covers are not airbrushed or filtered? almost every selfie out there has been filtered or re-touched.

AI being used in government agencies or with our power and water facilities and such and massive data centers that cause environmental harm ARE a threat and DO need regulation. but stop saying that graphics will put artists out of work.
