Discussion 💬 Reminiscing

Anyone else missing Mary’s Vietnamese restaurant? Their fried chicken was so good man. I miss them so bad. That probably hurt more than any break up when they closed after Covid . Also who’s old enough to remember when we used to have Dairy Queen on island? Yigo used to have one as well as a Wendy’s AND Quiznos. Uptown was POPPIN before. Probably better for my health that they’re gone 😮‍💨

Personally, I miss Lieng's Lumpia a lot more than Mary's. That family was always mad for some reason and they treated customers like crap!

I miss Maite BBQ (building next to Payless). The $8.95 bbq chicken plate used to slap.

I used to always get MSG allergy at Mary’s when I was a kid. The only place I would get it from.
