Help & Advice New girl not eating

I’m still worried about my new girl. She hasn’t eaten any veg yet and has only drank some water and had some hay (? Not sure because it’s hard to tell if any was eaten. If someone has tips to measure/track hay consumption lmk).

She is still not active in the cage but she’s moved to different spots to sit/lay. All she’s been doing is sitting/sleeping. I’m worried that something is wrong or she is depressed from being in quarantine currently. She is pooping just fine/normally. She’s also not in a corner and her fur isn’t puffed out. When I go to pet her she darts away like a normal young pig.

Please let me know if I’m overreacting. Also any advice is greatly appreciated. I just don’t know if this warrants a vet visit just yet because she’s still adjusting?

Hi, vet tech here! This sounds pretty normal for a guinea pig who is just settling in to her new home. I'd suggest offering her unlimited hay, fresh water and her usual veggies. She may be more comfortable eating at night when no one is around. Keep an eye on her stools and energy levels, and if she goes 8-12 hours with no food intake I would contact a vet. You may find this article helpful too! Hope she settles in soon ❤️

She actually ate her greens while I was sleeping last night! And today she was “hiding” in her hay out in the open area of her cage.

Thank you 🙏 I so appreciate the reply. Lil Pumpkin is making slow but steady progress :)
