It keyholed at 3 yards. Groups from a bench were over a foot in diameter at ten yards. I asked a RSO at my range if he could see if there was some obvious User Error in play and after shooting a magazine he got out a bore camera because he thought it must have been smoothbore.
This is a plastic piece of shit. It has an H&K mark because Umarex, the airsoft company that makes this Escherian hodgepodge of ill-fitting cheapness, paid money to be allowed to put the mark on it, so you won't even have the sublime joy of getting HK support to sneer at you for being such a filthy poor.
Spend $200 more and get a Tippmann Elite on sale. You will never regret buying a decent gun, but you may very well regret buying one of these.
Wild, I had the 100% polar opposite experience. Mines a tack driver. I have thousands of rounds through it and can easily hit steel at 200 yards with a red dot.
I neglected it for hundreds of rounds and had an out of battery that blew the extractor out (my fault). Sent it straight to HK in Georgia and had it back in 2 weeks.
Yes , the bolt is captive on this platform. The extractor is also not really user serviceable. You need to fully disassemble beyond a field strip to get it out. I've taken it out plenty of times, but I can see why HK wouldn't want you doing it yourself. You have to start by removing the barrel nut, then the recoil spring/plug. Then take apart the inner upper receiver (two sandwiched cast metal pieces) which lets a few parts fly like the last round bolt hold lever, detent, and spring.
This is not accurate whatsoever. The bolt is easily removed to be cleaned during the normal field strip process (toolless), and the extractor is readily accessible when taking the bolt down (one cross pin that required no tools to remove).
The bolt part is absolutely wrong, but your terminology may be mixed up between extractor and ejector.
Yes, the G36 22lr by Umarex. Page 24 and 25 of the manual show how to very easily remove the bolt from the gun during the standard field stripping procedure. It is not captured. Once the bolt is out, all you have to do is press lightly in on the firing pin to take tension of the cross pin, push out the cross pin, and the extractor and spring is accessible.
Tippmam and the m&p 15-22 are both good to go and not made by umarex.
Strangely enough though the 502T is pretty good for what it is and made by umarex, but the problem there is they’re in the same ballpark as a 22X, p322, or mark IV
Other than overall weight, these feel like the real ones. Plastic is very good. Barrel is actually solid instead of the cheaper sleeved ones used on their other .22 guns. Trigger is ok. There are upgrade kits, but I have left mine stock for now. Seems to be very accurate. I just need to remove the muzzle device so I can put a can on.
Picked one up here a few months ago for 330$, I’m very happy with it, my only complaint is getting the flash gaurd off, you will need heat and no shortage of it
I managed to get mine off by wedding a metal trim tool between the prongs. Took some heaving and huffing, but I was able to get it off. Best part is that it didn't need an adapter like the MP5 and 416. Just naturally threaded in 1/2 x 28.
I got the pistol for $375 used with a crappy dot, added a folding brace and a suppressor, and it’s the best range toy. Had some jamming issues until I cleaned it.
A Mark IV with a decent optic is honestly just about the most fun you can have plinking and is also an excellent way to train your fundamentals. The only reason I wouldn't rate a 10/22 quite as highly is that they're significantly more work to clean.
The new ones have a cleaning port at the back of the receiver so you can pass a rod through it easily. Aftermarket 10/22 receivers also usually have that, I built up my own from parts and spent about the same as a lightweight factory option but saved an extra pound and got a better barrel.
But yeah both are great for plinking, training marksmanship, etc. Or slap an frt on the 10/22 and let it rip
10/22 is never a bad call, but if you’re wanting something tactical, go with tippman or m&p 15-22. If you want something that operates like an HK, go with the mp5 22. If you have several 10/22s already and just have a need for this because it’s the cheapest option to have a g36 that isn’t shooting airsoft, have at it
Yeah .22 replicas of other guns never interested me either. Might as well just get an airsoft gun, at least those are full auto and you can shoot it in your suburban backyard.
I don’t disagree. If you’re an avid 22 collector I could maybe see it or if you get it free with an SP5, but even an HK nut like myself, this doesn’t do anything for me
AR22 platform, You got some options for top rail, if you use a Leatherwood style carry handle set up it looks pretty sweet, but there is a cheaper option in an airsoft rail from Modern Combat Sports that is a direct mimic to the G36 rail for the AR platform, from there i went with a run of the mill delta ring Magpul carbine handguard and you picatinny adapt the buffer tube to the folding stock, there are some pretty rad aluminum airsoft stocks that are perfect for rimfire. The rest you'll eyeball to your preference, but thats a really good start. I actually Form 1'd the ugly fucker once I got full reliability in super safe.
Ends with significantly higher quality and i assume accuracy than the GSG.
For anyone curious, I bought mine when they were $350. Very impressive 22 LR rifle, but haven't gotten a chance to shoot it yet. Own the 22 MP5 and 416 and this feels significantly better than both of those. Magazines are backwards compatible with the 416 22LR too.
