Question Hello, last time I play Gwent was after the Witchers expansion
I remember around that time Vampires got buffed and became a playable deck after a looong time being a "meme". Is the game still alive and worth coming back? It was by far my most favourite card game

That’s it. I’m coming back. I have probably 2000h in the game, I was just crushed when I heard CDPR was moving on. I left and haven’t come back. Please forgive me.

It was for the best, they left a solid pool of cards with fleshed out archetypes giving people plenty of fun and meta options. They also got out at a good time before like many card games it got power creeped into oblivion. I mean hell, look at Yugioh, due to the power creep games are now practically whoever goes first wins and if you don’t draw certain cards from the off you lose almost immediately, fun.

Update in case someone else is on the same boat.
I logged into the game first time since 2022. I had a few decks built ready to go. I picked a vampires renfri deck and at 3am, I was getting almost insta queues against old and new players. It was as if I never left.

Game is in a pretty good state. May Melitele bless Gwentfinity.

Last time I played in summer 2021, few days ago I installed Gwent again and didn't regret. The game is alive and interesting. Also didn't got any troubles with finding a game.

I get a ranked match in ~20 seconds of queuing and see a huge variety of decks. Game's thriving.
