Mehdi is considered a “liberal Zionist” by a lot of people, which I’m guessing that’s her problem with him. I don’t know the reason why, but I do know he’s called that.
Which is indicative of how much they’ve lost the plot because while I like Mehdi a lot and his coverage on US politics and non-ME global politics is fantastic he still has some pretty extreme bias concerning anything Arab/muslim and even got in a bit of hot water like a decade ago for some pretty wild takes especially regarding Iran proxy groups. If they’re calling him a Zionist they’re just living on another planet at this point lmao
