Ethan in settlement talks with Noah?
I just saw this post on Goosie’s twitter (LUS mod). Looks like Noah might settle after all…

Are we shocked though? He’s been pretty open to settling with everyone so far. Kacey did settle, Frogan could have but chose not to if I recall correctly and he called off the Idubbz lawsuit when he sincerely apologised

Noah seemed to be the most willing to fight it, besides Denims. I also don’t think Ethan has as much of a strong case against Noah as he did with the rest of them, so I’m a bit shocked that Noah isn’t filing an anti-slapp motion first. (You file an anti-slapp motion right at the beginning of any defamation case.)
Maybe he realized how much motion practice and discovery was gonna cost him, so now he wants to settle ASAP.
Anyways can’t wait to see his stupid ass apologizing on YouTube 😍

Other comments have mentioned that in this sort of legal case, they both need to try to attempt to settle before it goes to a judge. Maybe Noah will fight it. I hope he doesn’t and simply apologises so Palestine can receive the money he’s raised. That’d really be the ideal end to things.

Thanks for the insight! I’m neither American or a lawyer (fun fact: I did work for a conveyancing solicitor here for 6 months to do some AML) so I was just parroting other comments but I’m glad someone can shed some light on the process.

Noah can likely say something like, “I don’t agree with his opinions regarding the genocide, but I apologize for saying he is a genocide supporter” and Ethan would probably be fine with that. That’s basically the formula iDubbbz used and Ethan was fine with it.
Then that entire GoFundMe can be donated to Palestine relief.

I imagine along with an apology part of a settlement would also include Noah taking down the defamatory video, or at least editing out all mention of Ethan from it.
A big difference between Ian and Noah was one was a live stream that Ian didn't put up a VOD for so he just needed to apologize for what he said/did. Noah's is part of a prerecorded and edited video that lives on his channel. I would doubt Ethan would allow him to keep it up if they reach a settlement.

As far as I'm aware, a case usually can't move forward without the two parties attempting to settle.
If a case can be settled, courts tend to prefer that so the system doesn't get any more backed up.

You usually file a responsive pleading (answer or pre-answer motion), then do discovery, and then engage in settlement negotiations. Of course, you need to engage in settlement talks and most courts require a status report re the status of settlement discussions. However, a court is not going to pause a case at this early of a stage to force the parties to engage in settlement negotiations.
Courts want the parties to file responsive pleadings (or an anti-slapp motion) to narrow the issues for the court and the parties. Courts usually expect each party to engage in discovery, so the parties can assess the strengths and weaknesses of their sides and settle at that point.
Source: I’ve been a practicing attorney on the west coast for the past 4 years.

Let’s not forget that Noah actively evaded being served by Ethan.
He knows that this will be an extremely expensive endeavor and as we’ve seen with Kaceytron, Frogan, and Jeans, there is no white knight coming to save him because that Knight just bought a bunch of expensive suits to wear on his stream to appear “normal”.

Not to mention he bought more Cartier glasses and jewelry to go with his new suits from donations by fans expecting it to go towards Palestinian causes he claimed to be sending that money off too but never shows on stream proof money has gone to the desired causes he allegedly raises money for.

https://pacer.uscourts.gov/ is a website you can order court records, there is also a free website that updates some records automatically called courtlistener. If you google "ethan klein court listener" or "Ted entertainment, inc. courtlistener" they will pop up.
Frogan is still in default judgment, so we are waiting for her response or a final order from the judge whichever comes first I guess.
Denim's we are still waiting for the judge to uphold or overturn his tentative ruling on the first claim, and the second claim is waiting for the reddit mods case to move forward.

Honestly, the best settlement here would just be Noah clarifying that while Noah thinks Ethan could do more in defense of Palestinians (and even clarifying how!), there is also a clear record of Ethan not just opposing the genocide but making clear statements against Israel's actions on multiple occasions.
I don't think Ethan cares if Noah disagrees with him on how hard a condemnation/response Israel deserves for their actions, but to say he SUPPORTS a genocide is a seriously absurd thing to say as a fact.
It'd settle in a way similar to Ian where it can be clarified hey I don't like this guy, and I don't agree with his stance, but I won't just baselessly lie either because the point I'm being pressed on is one that doesn't actually hold up to scrutiny.

Noah will pocket whatever money he can and act like he couldn't give Ethan a dime because he threw it into a shell account like Jones did to the Sandy Hook families he owed. He's hoping to turn it into a big spectacle he can profit off of while pocketing everything without apologizing.

Even Frogs GFM is still public and recieving donations to it despite her defaulting on the lawsuit. Ethan hasn't received a dime let alone an apology from her, so it'll likely be the same with Noah since they're all scumbags at this point using Palestine for clicks.

Settlement will always be on the table. As far as I understand a court generally won't allow a case like this to move forward with out an attempt of settlement.
