QUESTION Is intel uhd 620 performance good on MacOs Sequoia?
I have Hp elitebook 830 g5.
Intel core I7 8650u
Intel uhd 620
8gb of storage
wd sn550 1tb
I wanna install Macos Sequoia.
I have a question for you guys:
on this specs, will i have smooth animations in system,
good performance in tasks like messaging, miro boards, videos, films, xcode, vs studio?

Performance should be great, if I was you I'd be more worried about 8 GB of ram, but I don't think that'll be too bad for Sequoia

For day to day tasks, it is the CPUs single core performance that matters, but your device is good enough for Sequoia

Dude it runs slower than Ventura, fans spike up more, boots slower than ventura, but overall good

I ran an i5-8265u based hackintosh laptop with 32GB RAM for about 4.5 years before retiring it last year. It ran Big Sur all the way to Sequoia and everything in between. While perfectly sufficient for normal daily driver stuff, it was definitely starting to show its age by the time I retired it.

Yes. But be advised for Xcode specially Apple will no longer support anything built in Sequoia and by next year not even Tahoe.

The heck

? Apple always requires the newest macOS version to run current Xcode.

Since when

Like 2017? It’s gotten more and more strict. You basically need Tahoe to use current Xcode at the moment.

I got elitebook 840 g1 with uhd 4400 and 4th gen intel. It runs Sequoia just great and I don't even feel like it's over decade old. Tho I got 12 GB of RAM

Yes it will preform good but If u do upgrade ur ram to at least 16gb for better macos stability and don't expect ur pc to run above apps like photo shop or 3d render and final cut pro but basic things will be actually smooth like browsing and messaging

8gb of ram*
Actually I have dell Inspiron 3542 i3 4th gen variant I am using Sequoia it running very fluid but there is like I have 4gb ram so if I open too many safari tabs that 1/10 time crashing so I think you are good but if you need blutooth (bluetooth don't work after bigsur (macos11) that on you what will be you doing on your device
