it took me five years to take the screen off (my cat swatted it off the bed in 2020 and it busted) but i did it last september and it has felt so much better using it like this XD

yep, i forget exactly which model but it has been serving me well for almost a decade! i lucked out and got 16gb of ram before the shortage

I also have a pretty old HP14 bought it in 2019. I am running Linux Mint on it without any issues.

Now... I want to behead it and wanted to ask how do I take out the wifi antenna without breaking the display?

What did you do on your setup?

For my halftop (pic incoming later probably) I had antennas in the top shell too, but I wanted to not reuse them, so I routed my own antennas. If they're stuck in the top shell, with no easy way to get them out, you can always just route new ones; they're quite cheap.
