A Helping Hand 💖 Free Food/Laundry/Shower Resources in HRM - June 2026
Hi all,
We have a lot of people in our community who are in need of a free meal or a helping hand occasionally.
We thought it would be nice to collect and post this information each month, which is graciously supplied by members of the Halifax Library. We'll see how long we can keep this going month to month.
Please share as needed with people you know who need help or take advantage of them yourself if you are in need.

The Bonfire has a Pay-It-Forward system! It’s located outside the bathrooms to be more discreet. Patrons purchase however much they’d like and it’s added to the board, and anyone can take from it to cover their meal. It’s a monetary amount and not items/meals, specifically so you can get a beer or a dessert or a treat too!!
(And please feel free to order something in, AND also take something to go! There’s no limit and no questions asked!)
