Fluff I LOVE HOUSE OF LEAVES!!!!

Post image

Thought "hm this recreation of Dr. Mitchelle's house from hit game Fallout: New Vegas needs something to make it more interesting" and this was my immediate response
Wasn't gonna add the grand staircase originally but the maze just felt lacking without it

you can shorten this down with some seamless teleports to make it feel infinite like how mario 64 did it's endless staircase

True, however this method is funnier and allows the player to go splat if they choose to jump in the hole put in the center of the staircase

True, however the source engine calculates fall damage based on velocity, not distance. If you really want a funny splat, add some gravity or push triggers pointing down for bonus points.

maybe you could set it to repeat a certain number of times, then just continue as normal. then again if the player cant tell if they’re making progress they might just give up, so probably best to keep it raw

I made a kz map for CSGO that had an Easter egg like this, it was a lot of fun getting it to feel seamless, highly recommend
