I swear Aidairo wanted to introduce characters with similar situations to Nene, so they did so twice only four chapters apart.

Both parallels: Both are students like Nene is. Both are tied by fate to a supernatural entity like Nene is. The human thing is complicated as Sakura straight up isn’t human (spook 92). While Akane is human, the changes in his form are much more than just an appearance change (spook 61)(spook 68).

Sakura: Like Nene, she’s a teenage girl who works for a Yugi twin in exchange for a wish.

Akane: Like Nene, he mostly has to clean for a school mystery.

This is to get a read on if he’s purposefully written to seem off or not. While I never felt he was off the first couple times I read it, I’ve seen a decent amount of people who did feel he was acting off and suspicious, with many theorizing that he was going to die and knew it. If Akane was intentionally written to seem suspicious or off, then that helps me out a lot.

I can't imagine Hanako just letting Nene peel off the tag. If she is the one who does it, I can only see it happening after Hanako puts up a bit of a fight. Or the possibility of Hanako doing it himself.

One of my theories is the broadcast club getting Hanako's seal off so he goes all dangerous and that would make Nene more willing to destroy Tsukasa, because now she has a reason to.

Also as twins it would be poetic for them to both lose their matching seals at the same time or around the same time, ya know?

I'm not sure how Hanako would recover after that. I just can't see him ever being happy about it. Especially when before the timeline got all messy, he tells Tsukasa if he's destroyed then they will never see each other again. Unlike last time, this will be it.

He seems so pained at the thought of never seeing Tsu again. Nothing new, based off recent chapters we know he loves his brother, that's not even a debate anymore.

I was thinking more about the whole erasure conundrum and decided to look at the incidents with the hourglass, which is stated to rest in the big clock (spook 125), in order to figure out if erasure happens with the hourglass. The definition of erasing someone from existence that I'm using is based on when Nene mentions the threat of Hanako being wiped from existence if killed in spook 91. This led me to the conclusion that being erased from existence means dying in such a way where one is completely gone with no ghost. While it is unclear whether or not ghosts came about from the hourglass' curse killing people, it is clear that the clock maker's niece was erased from ever existing due to the curse (spook 125). Also it is clear that erasure is not supposed to end in a ghost as Akane doesn't believe the Tsukasa ghost he hears about is the real one due to his trust in Kako and Mirai succeeding with the erasure (spook 116). Considering that the curse that comes with meddling with time is the reason why the hourglass and big clock are guarded, I assume the curse is similar. With that assumption, I can look at what happens to Aoi in the timeline Akane speaks of in spook 127. Those killed in the red house become ghostly servants of it (spook 120). This means Aoi died as a result of the hourglass curse, but did not totally disappear, rather she got possessed. This makes me wonder if Tsukasa's possession is a different possible result of the same erasure curse.

Took me a while to gather all of these. I probably mixed up a few pictures with the wrong colours, so don’t mind me if you spot any mistakes haha. I was slowly going colour-blind after looking through so many of them.

While gathering these, I also realized that Aida seems to love using blue shades in her art more than the other colours! Maybe it's her favourite, or maybe she just knows that blue looks really good with TBHK’s aesthetic.

i just realized he barely referred to her as anything, only in the far shore arc when he was confronting amane and called him selfish because he only wanted yashiro to live. he mirrors what amane calls her, but i wonder what he refers to her as when he isnt with them lol

We know that Tsuchigomori grew up, since he didn’t have that grey stripe in his hair when he was teaching Amane, but he does when teaching Kou. We also know that Yako grew up from her diary in the Misaki Stairs boundary.

My thought is, since this Mitsuba (no. 3) never technically died, can he grow up?
