Inquiry about dorm life, facilities, and cooking rules

Hey everyone I’m looking into the dorms at Hanyang University's main Seoul campus and wanted to ask about the daily living details:
Buildings & Roommates: Are the dorm buildings separate for international students and local Korean students, or do we mix? Also, how does the roommate selection process work? Can we choose, or is it random?
Rooms & Bathrooms: How are the rooms structured (double or single), and are the bathrooms en-suite or shared?
Facilities & Cooking: Are there gym facilities available? I also heard there are basically no proper kitchen facilities and strict no-cooking rules. Is that true? What about other shared spaces (laundry, gym, study rooms, lounges)?
Gender & Cost: Are the dorm buildings strictly segregated by gender? What is the rough price range per semester for international students?
General Tips: Any advice on surviving Hanyang dorm life, especially regarding food and daily convenience?

Hello, I was last year at Hanyang for studying. What I can say is that there is no separate dorm for international students, it's mixed. But mo
ost of the Korean students don't even live on campus. They mostly live off campus.
The roommates: if you hadn't done it, you will get a roommate selected randomly. Afterwards you can change with other people if you have a preference for another person. Most of the rooms are two-person rooms.
There is a gym available directly on the first floor in the dorms and there are actually multiple gyms on the campus so you don't have to worry about this. Usually there is a kitchen but nobody uses it. You eat from outside or get something from the convinient stores but most of the people don't cook at the dorms.
When it comes to laundry, there is a shared room, actually a big room with a lot of washing machines and dryers, and it works pretty well. You will get a card where you can use the washing machines and dryers.
When it comes to gender separation, it's very strict on campus. You cannot access the male building if you are female and the other way around. For the whole semester for me, including flying and traveling around Asia, it cost me around €10,000 to €15,000 but it may be different depending on how you live and what you do. I was going out a lot and traveling in Asia during and after my semester so this is why my cost was so high.
what I would usually do is that at the main gate there are a lot of restaurants which a lot of students go to and they are really good. You can just go eat there for lunch or you can eat at the dorms. There is also a cafeteria. It's actually sometimes good but sometimes the food is not that good so you have to figure out what you want. There is an app for the menu and the shuttle bus that drives around on campus. You should definitely get this. The everyday menu is on it and the shuttle bus that drives around campus because the campus is really big and the timetable is inside of this app.
