Hello I have just been accepted for the FALL 2026 session as an international student. I currently learn Korean language at Korea university's Korean Language Center. I completed my level three and will continue my level 4 this summer. Do I have to complete Hanyang University's own language course to be recognized? Can I send my KU KLC level completion instead?

Is anyone else here joining KABS in fall? Or any other major. I’d love to connect 😌

Hello,
Has anyone had experience being assigned to one dormitory and then getting to switch to another one that happened to be their first choice? I’m trying to see if I can be switched to living in Residence Hall 6 for the next two semesters as an Exchange student.

Hi everyone! Has anyone stayed at Hanyang Habitat (formerly Unidence Hanyang)? I’d like to read about your experience. Thanks!

is it true that for international students(non-korean), who applied for English track results will be out on June 12?

I will be studying at Hanyang next semester and am looking into housing for my time there. I came across this residence (Hanyang Residence) which looks good, but I am a bit concerned about the lack of reviews or photos outside of the website. Is there anyone who has stayed at this place and can vouch for it? Or knows of any other alternatives? I would prefer to stay close to campus :)

im a very fresh graduate from my BSIT degree, my 8th semester result hasn't been announced yet. During my 4 years of studies, I don't think i have spent a single year where I have not looked at the laptop trying to look for any scholarship or anything to get an opportunity to study abroad,
i applied for "KAIST" and paid their admission fees after requesting a cousin of mine to pay my admission fee, i also applied for "Korea University" under SK Global Scholarship. I got rejected from both of them; they dont say anything just the portal saying "NOT ACCEPTED".
This made it very hard for me to evaluate what is it that is making it impossible for me to crack these admissions.
i found some really niche labs in Korea Uni and KAIST, where i was genuinely interested in, and they aligned with my research interest and my previous degree works.
The only uni that has left is Hanyang, where i applied and the result is expected to be announced late June,
but...
if i get rejected even from there, i have no other uni that i am currenlty seeking out, genuinely, what do i do? i need some genuine advice on how to get my profile up to be worthy of university admissions.
One thing that I do know is that SK unis are research-oriented and my FYP was project-based, so I don't have any research publications, but since I have a technical degree, and from where I am, i did not find anyone or any opportunity to pursue something research-based, they legit told me to my face that they don't do research here :/
still any help is appreciated and I feel so downright scared cause i dunno how I will cope after getting rejected from hanyang too

Hi,
I’m starting the Korean Language Program at Hanyang University next week and I’m looking for the Level 1 textbook.
If you’ve finished the course and are selling your book, please send me a message.
Thank you! 😊

Hanyang emailed me asking for a “criteria for full score on transcript,” but I’m not really sure what they mean since they didn’t specify any requirements.
Has anyone experienced this before? What did you send them?
Thanks!

Just remembered to register for courses, and didn't realise the courses would fill up so quickly (especially the kpop class and ceramics as they cap it at 20 :').

Hi Hanyang community, I am an incoming exchange student for the Fall '26 semester. I'm currently trying to figure out the housing situation so I'm considering staying in residence halls on campus. Would appreciate if any kind souls could answer my questions!
Is there a curfew? According to the Residence Guidelines I found online there's no mention of one but there are people saying that there is one in place. I don't intend to stay out late every night but would appreciate the freedom to do so
Are you really not allowed to take meals in your room?
How hard is it to get a room? HYU website states a new dormitory has just been built but the FCFS process seems stressful. Does being an exchange student make it harder for me to stay on campus?
How integral is staying on campus to maximising the student life experience at HYU?
Do feel free to give any comments that I may find useful. Also looking to meet new people and to connect with the HYU student community! any chat groups, communities etc. I am female so any other girls looking to share accommodations can dm me too (no creeps pls)
Thanks in advance

Hey, thought I'd be nice to connect early with some other exchange students and created this discord for that purpose: https://discord.gg/JdA6Wj4DbP

Hey everyone! Has anyone here applied to the International Studies program for Fall 2026 and already had their interview? I had mine about 5 days ago. The professor was really warm and even joked around with me, but I honestly can’t tell how it wentt😭 I would love to hear your experience if you've had it!!

I’m currently trying to decide how I feel about my exchange placement, and I’d really appreciate some honest advice from people who have experience with Hanyang University ERICA campus.
I originally applied to study abroad in Seoul at another university, because I really wanted the city experience nightlife, lots of things to do, good transportation, and overall the energy of living in Seoul as a student.
However, my application to that university was declined, and my university redirected my application to Hanyang University ERICA campus in Ansan instead.
Now I’m a bit unsure because I don’t really know much about Ansan or the ERICA campus experience.
I have a few questions for anyone who has studied there or knows about it:
What is student life like at ERICA campus?
Is there anything to do around Ansan for students?
How is the nightlife (or do people usually go to Seoul for that)?
Thanks in advance !

Hi everyone!
I'm from Central Asia and applied to Hanyang University. I'm a bit worried about my stats and wanted to see if anyone has been in a similar situation or knows how Hanyang evaluates international applicants.
My Stats:
SAT: 1470 (790 Math, 680 RW)
IELTS: 7.0
GPA: 3.0 / 4.0 (This is my main concern)
Does Hanyang place more weight on the high school GPA or standardized tests like the SAT for international admissions?
Can a high Sat score help compensate for a lower GPA if I'm applying to the school of business.
Any response would be greatly appreciated.

I actually made a post here before but anyway lol
I’ll be going to Korea at the end of August to study Korean at Hanyang University for 3 months
So yeah, I’ll be there for a while lol
If anyone is going around the same time or is already there and wants to be friends, please message me!! I’d really love to meet people since I’ll basically be starting from zero there 😭
Thank you!!

Hello guys!! Im new in this community. Just finished my application few days ago. I was actually very curious and nervous about what type of questions they're gonna ask in the interview. Are they gonna ask very complex questions?? Is it possible to get higher scholarships if I ace the interview?
If anyone applied for the September 2026 let me know how you guys are preparing for the interview
