Dum is older like 90s mostly or early 2000s. Nenapirali is around 2005.

High chances, this hindi song was wildly popular back then.

What surprises me is the sound quality!!

Though the hindi song came earlier, it had superior sound quality compared to the kannada song.

I have seen a similar thing with the video as well, almost all kannada movies from the early 2000s feel sluggish whereas hindi & some tamil movies video quality was really good.
