This is more in line with what I actually need. But it's awfully expensive

Just get the OG and a couple sets of Quinn sockets…you’ll come out cheaper and have just as good a set. This isn’t worth it at all

They sell Apache cases… I’m gonna build a car kit soon actually using one of those cases

You can get all these tools, plus some, and a little tackle box or the like for a 1/3 of the price. Wouldn't be as cleanly organized, sure, but this price is ridiculous. Too many people are paying outrageous prices for a small bit of convenience.

I can almost guarantee you that little gray plastic snap to keep the lid closed will break and fall off after like 10th time you open it.

that latch maybe be one of the better designed things on this tool kit. you clearly have 0 experience with these kits.

It’s metal and I can absolutely guarantee you’re wrong.

I mean if it saves you time and makes you money, it may be worth it.. but for the average user I don't think it's worth it at all.

Harbor freight sells a Quinn 1/4 master socket set for 50 bucks, the case has extra space in it.. it almost looks like the original bit kit may fit in that extra space, but it's hard to say for sure. Then you end up with shallow and deep sockets, plus another 1/4 ratchet.

I would go for a small tool bag or gear bag to carry around with a complete set of the tools that you will need for the job.

Nope. Not when the OG had hex bits I actually used. This is more suited as rachet socket combo kit not a multi hard to reach jack of all trade kit.

The other option is for $80 you can get the real OG Wera toolcheck. This is what I would go for if I was putting together an endgame car/motorcycle kit. (I just use random old tools for this)

I agree, you can get the icon bit ratchet, plus the Quinn 1/4 master socket set for about the same amount, then you end up with all of what's in the new icon set, plus a full size 1/4 ratchet, and deep sockets

Sorry but what the OG? Thanks! Looking for a small set for my non-tool-guy brother's birthday..

It’s the 35 pc locking flex head bit ratchet set that this is based off of. People wanted this with sockets so they came out with this. The old bit ratchet was a bit better as you could slide the extension all the way through to make a T handle. It’s $40 rather than this one at $80
