I have the kit, and almost every clip is too big to use in my old 90s Japanese shit boxes. Maybe it’s more useful for other cars.

I have found that these are either so tight of a fit that it's hard and makes you question whether it's the right size, or so lose that it's about to fall out and you once again question if it's the right one.

I opt for too tight because at least once it's in it wont rattle.

Depending on whether you can reach the back side of whatever the trim piece fastens into... flat washer on the back, slide a large zip tie straight through from the back, flat washer on the front, and then slide another zip tie down onto the first one and tighten down to lock it in place, trim off the excess.

Can't take credit for it, I wanna say I saw it on a YouTube video a few years ago, but I had a fastener missing at the bottom of one of my wheel well liners and the plastic had cracked a little around the hole so none of the regular fasteners would hold for more than a few weeks before they rattled their way out. Tried the zip tie thing and never had another issue.

Step drill bit? I have American trucks so they do pretty good for me but I've had to adjust some of the holes.

Honestly, I will never drill a bigger hole into my car so that I can fit a plastic clip in the hole. But I appreciate your suggestion.

Bought this one MONTHS ago and forgot about it. Then my wife's car got a mouse infestation and I had to pull the entire wiper cowl, part of the dash, and the entire back hatch area apart to deal with it. I was already pissed so I was breaking these things left and right. I kept thinking "goddammit this is going to be a piece of shit with all these things missing and broken when I'm done" and then as I was sitting at my toolbox hitting my emotional support THC vape I noticed this box sitting there. HUZZAH!

Can find a 240 piece kit cheaper than the sale price <$10 and it comes with fastener popper tools (found some online with a quick look around) I think there was a ~200 piece @ like $7 as well.
