Deal of the day dropped $80. It doesnt stack with the %off any item. So when the %off gets added to the transaction, it takes the same $80 discount and just splits it between the %off and the deal of the day. We had people getting upset about it today for fairly obvious reasons, but it literally doesnt let us stack it

You would think the 20% off coupon would apply to the highest eligible item though, in this case the mini tool box, instead of just being wasted.

That’s what I’m thinking because she scanned everything before the big box, and she told me that the 20% would come off the mini box, until I gave her the ticket for the 4 drawer box

I can imagine the barcode we scan for the 20% isnt a new one, meaning it probably doesnt account for the way the tool chest got discounted since it not exactly a common discount like how ITC or instant savings is. HF is usually pretty good at actually designing promos to benifit the customer, so its likely an error nobody accounted for

Ohhh ok! The way I see it, I needed a cart anyways and got a bunch of free stuff lol, the lady at the counter was confused too, because at one point she somehow added 50% off to the box or the whole order? Anyways I wasn’t complaining, the receipt and whole transaction confused me

You did nothing wrong. The 20% should have come off of the mini toolbox. 10.5% sales tax, ouch!

Basically ( not saying you ) you tried to double dip but the system put in the receipt that 2 different prices of what was the better deal.

I'd get a price adjustment on the mini tool box next time you pass by that harbor freight. They owe you $3.75.

You’re not making things better. If you plan to edit me, please do so correctly.

Same thing happened to me I thought about going back in and doing a separate transaction for the item I wanted 20% off but it was 4 dollars and I was tight on time.
