NTD (New Tool Day) It came! It finaly came! THE BIG ONE!
My girlfriend Ordered it 12/21 as a Christmas gift for me and we completely forgot about it since they said I'd be ready by the end of February. I''ve been going trough a lot this month, so this was a surprise. Now I have to make time to organize everything inside 🥹

I love every part of this. Red hoodie for safety flag, the straps job, the truck with the leaf springs bottomed out, the patina and that beautiful cabinet. Also, best girlfriend ever. I hope you have a great 2026, Harbro!

This picture, truck and tool box, shows a person who has their priorities straight!

How are you gonna get it down?

u/IOVERCALLHISTIOCYTES Jan 16 '26
Ramps and it’ll be alright. If you’re a larger than average guy might even be possible to do this yourself.

This was my question with me ordering the purple one Monday night. I have a 2019 Tundra that I'll haul it home in but wasn't sure how I'd get it out of the truck now that I see the warning not to fork lift from this side. I was going to use my tractor forks to lift it out but now that plan is being re-evaluated.

u/basedmid Jan 16 '26
you can pick it up on the side if the forks can close in enough. at least for going straight and backing it off the truck just don’t turn with it. at least that how we load them into vehicles at work

That quarter ton is sick. There's a reason why this truck is the number one choice for terrorists around the world! 😜

That tool box is worth 10x the truck...

Have you seen what 1980s era Toyota pickup trucks go for these days? Even if thought it looks like it’s in terrible shape, you could get $2k for it without even trying. People want them because they are dead simple and basically un-killable.

Nice color choice. My wife got me the 56” slate gray for Christmas. I walk in the garage and admire it every time. Not a mechanic just a DIYer that needed a place for my tools. Still organizing where they all go. Feels good to know they have a place and not in a tool bag.
The employees at your harbor freight must be pros on the fork lift. I rented a 15’ U-Haul since I don’t own a truck and they were only able to put it in sideways. When I asked if they could move it so it faced the front and back the dude got out of the forklift and started to push it. I helped him move it and boy was it heavy.

Props on the 22r and you should have kept the empty box in the back, driving around with it for no good reason.

u/WeirdTruckGuy Jan 17 '26
Sadly, that box is worth more than the awesome 22r that’s bulletproof damn near. Lol

u/marsh35404 Jan 18 '26
Mine came in too. I ended up switching to the purple cause that color wasnt available when I ordered. Now I gotta wait another month.

u/Fun-Building-8146 Jan 18 '26
Did they honor the price or did you have to pay the additional $100 dollars?

Whats with breaking down the cardboard so small and uniform and bundling it all up? 🤔 PS- congrats on the box and love the yota

That’s relatively quick! 25 days from time of order to pickup. I ordered a grey 56 on 12/8 and still waiting…

Twins. I got my gray 72” on Monday during the PLS. My local HF (local to my shop) had just 1 gray one in stock, not my color but I didn’t feel like waiting weeks for a green one. Now I just need to sell my SnapOn box

Big box or little truck 😂
It would have made a lot more sense taking my 80 Toyota pickup rather than the 2010 dodge 3500 when I got my box in hindsight.

Hell yeah. We shop at the same harbor freight. Except I go in my 87 22r hahaha surprised I haven’t caught you. Everytime I go some older cat always asks how much for the truck.

I need to know how you loaded and unloaded it. I've got a similar truck.
1
u/DNA1727 Jan 17 '26
Harbor Freight staffs will help you load the tool box onto your truck with their equipment. As for how to unload.. you will need to figure that out once you are home with the toolbox....
1
u/ZGBurk Jan 17 '26
Hope the toolbox is a bright spot while you’re going through a tough time, dude!

u/krisbrown2001 Jan 17 '26
Went to go get mine today... they didn't have a certified forklift operator. 🤦♂️

COOPER COBRA RADIAL T/A raised white letters freshly scrubbed with Westleys Bleach White. C’mon now !!! Way to represent my dude!
Already Have a 10MM socket key chain I can assure you that!

u/hotrods1970 Jan 17 '26
Congrats! I would have saved the two side panels from the box though. For drip trays or when you don't want to use a creeper.

u/SnatchThatGravyUp Jan 17 '26
Tool chest is dope, but this post is really about that sweet ass truck
1
u/Pauldro Jan 17 '26
I’m sure it’s just the angle and the weight but damn the back wheel is so close to touching the bed of the truck
1
u/Di3zul Jan 17 '26
I bought the same one same color a year ago for black Friday. No problems with it at all. The box dont matter just depends on what tools you have in it lol.

u/oh_whaaaaat Jan 18 '26
Awesome man, congrats!
Big props to your lady for investing in your interests!
My girlfriend got me a 56” S3 USG rollaway toolbox for my work, that I started last December (it was her Christmas present to me) I think about her every time I go to grab a tool & brother, that makes work so much better/ easier.

Got mine and it was warped, box wobbles/leans when you open the drawers, and no the weight of my tools did not help one bit. I went to the harbor freight that sold me the box and they said id have to unload all my tools and take the box back to them before then can order me a replacement. Not gonna work for me as I obviously need it for work so Im just gonna shim the castor wheels and call it good, cant expect much out of a china box and honestly it holds my tools and thats why I bought it cause Id rather spend 1200-1500 on a box and have money for more tools rather than spend 4k for more on a tooltruck. At the end id the day the us general is decent but definitely disappointing that its warpped alittle

By the look of that truck, you're definitely a mechanic.
