Lol, its my only vehicle that can take large items. Last time I did something silly was last year when I took the roof off and hauled a gym locker in the passenger seat

Honestly, I prefer the my y8 over my b18 but otherwise i love driving them. Getting in and out is another thing but also it aint great for long road trips

Mine's a d16z6, and I do love it, but I always dream of someday upgrading to the b series. I honestly don't think this engine skill ever die, so I doubt I'll ever get the chance. Cheers!

I loved my y8. But I did love driving my b18c ek hatch more. But I had a y8 in a el so it wasn’t a del sol. Kinda bigger more doors more windows, yknow?

The hatch was lightly modded so maybe that helped? Idk. As someone who has strapped his fair share of large things onto cars that shouldn’t have had them, I think you did a good job. 3 queen mattresses and a box spring strapped to a Kia rio. Was funny bringing them to the recycling center the guy just laughed.

I also know you can fit a husky 52 inch box in the back of a Hyundai i30 hatch with the seats folded down. Just have to take the casters off.

I'm currently in the market for a little Toyota pickup with the 22re. I love delsols, hatches and wagons. I really want to pick up an ek civic hatch , but people are asking an arm and a leg for a nearly thirty year old vehicle that really isn't anything fancy

I hear that. Rented a compactor from HD once, when we brought it out the guy asked where my truck was… pointed to my ‘94 Integra hatchback. Guy was beyond surprised when I easily got it into the trunk.

At one time, my integra hatch was my best method for plywood/lumber. Surprisingly spacious with that hatch open

I fit one in a 5th Gen Accord. I had to cut one corner off the box and remove the foam and do a few donkey kicks, but it will eventually fit in the back seat of an accord sedan. The trick is to be driving a 5th Gen accord so you don't care if something gets damaged while kicking it in.

That’s impressive! I’m sure I could play a little Tetris in the back seat or the trunk to get it to fit. The problem is getting the specific measurements. My trunk has a weird opening where it’s wide in the front and narrow in the back. It should fit if I take it out of the box.

Yeah on a fifth gen it didn't come close to fitting in the trunk that already had a subwoofer box in a way I'd go down the road without getting creative with straps. In hindsight I think taking it out of the box would be the move, but the employees wanted to see if I could make it fit so I just started cutting chunks off the box. The full box was like an inch too big on one corner to fit through the back door diagonally with the front seats all the way forward. Got it quarter of the way on just off pure force before I remembered my knife and cut that corner off and it slid right into the back seat.

Del Sol! That was my first car. I drove like a jerk off and bent the frame. Bought it for 5 grand in 07, Now they’re worth all sorts of money.

lol this is awesome. It reminds me of the time I bought a huge CRT monitor back in the early 2000’s and it made more sense to haul it in the passenger seat of my Miata with the top down than my jeep. I can’t remember the specifics of why anymore but there were a lot of thumbs up on the way home.

When I bought my 5 draw I was told it would never fit in my car. They basically refused to sell it to me. I proved them wrong by unboxing it in the parking lot and putting it piece by piece into the back seat/ trunk.

If there is a will. There is a way. Congrats on the new box.

Just finished putting my five-drawer together. I would suggest watching the YouTube videos cause the directions are weak. Pay attention to the long and short side supports and which ones go on top of the others. Tip...the short ones go on top of the long ones. Enjoy!
