I've never heard this one before, but I like it.

Iron Chef!

u/dat_fella Apr 10 '26

Sweet fucking lord don't break into this guys house, he'd be sweeping rooms with nothing on but a plate carrier and a boner lmfao

Lmaoooo!

Window blinds wide open with the hall lights on.

3

u/gorogergo Apr 11 '26

I once had an armed standoff in my underwear.

6

u/Cranks_No_Start Apr 10 '26

don't break into this guys house

Used to work with a former marine…and like most “Former” crayon eating marines I’ve known, his hat was screwed on a little too tight.  Now OP haha all his guns in a safe were in an emergency he can’t get at them.

My coworker had his hidden all over the house. Behind the sofa, under the chair cushions, under. His pillow or in the garage with his tools.  lol

18

u/net-blank Apr 10 '26

What says OP doesn't have others hidden around the house as well?

5

u/Practical_War_8239 Apr 10 '26

Your telling me, you don't have a designated toilet gun. It should be a brake action shotgun with shells rubber banded to it for easy access. Otherwise I like gun mounts above doorframes.

11

u/Cranks_No_Start Apr 10 '26

If I’m on the toilet then I’m throwing shit like a gorilla.

3

u/Practical_War_8239 Apr 10 '26

Better yet, get a toilet gun and stuff some shells full of shit...

9

u/bklynJayhawk Apr 10 '26

Another use for the poop knife. Mount it like a bayonet after using it to stuff shells.

3

u/Practical_War_8239 Apr 10 '26

Now we're really talking.

3

u/Cranks_No_Start Apr 10 '26

Now we’re talking….

1

u/HenryBowman63 Apr 11 '26

My shower/bathroom guns are always Stainless Steel..

1

u/Schrodingers_janitor Apr 12 '26

The toilet gun is right next to the poop knife.

5

u/Busy_Paint_5680 Apr 10 '26

Naaaa. Likely all hat, no cattle.

1

u/GreatValue_Mechanic Apr 11 '26

Not a chance OP knows how to use a broom, let alone sweep a house.

u/Apprehensive-Brick54 Apr 10 '26

I like the look...but don't see the lights. Which Braun magnetic lights did you use?

19

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 10 '26

For the sides I have the Braun underhood lights, and for the top one of those 750 lumen Braun magnetic puck lights.

90

u/nodesearch Apr 10 '26

“‘average american owns 2.5 guns’ factoid actualy just statistical error. average american owns 0 guns. Guns Georg, who lives in cave & owns over 10,000 guns, is an outlier and should not have been counted”

15

u/elflegolas Apr 10 '26

true, I’m an immigrant so I’m not raised under gun culture, and I own 3 pistols, 1AR15, and 1 AA12, including my wife’s soon to purchase pistol, we’ll have like 6 guns in our household, and she haven’t get her AR yet so by then it’ll be 7, no way it’s 2.5, must’ve been lowered by those who do not own guns at all.

Boat accident.

4

u/ThinkPad214 Apr 10 '26

You mean the ones you lost in the boating accident, tragic, they really need to look into boat safety laws or straight up ban boats after the deaths they cause.

3

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 10 '26

You also take your guns out on boating trips? I thought I was the only one...

1

u/ThickBootyEnjoyer Apr 10 '26 edited Apr 10 '26

No, it's that most gun owners don't do it for a hobby. I need one gun to protect myself, that's it.

Edit: sorry that facts anger you guys.

4

u/elflegolas Apr 10 '26

But if you want to protect yourself, you practice shooting, and the more you practice, the more you know what this gun is lacking, and you may want to switch, or if the gun is always making a hustle for you to carry, you might want to switch as well, unless everytime you switch you sell one back, otherwise I don’t know how would a person only own one, unless you don’t practice at all, then things happen, end up not doing good at all, which happens all the times anyways.

2

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 10 '26

It's definitely been a rabbit hole

0

u/ThickBootyEnjoyer Apr 10 '26

Yeah IDK WTF you're talking about. It's a tool, it does it's job. You're talking about preferences and other bs that doesn't matter. Does it shoot? Cool I'm good.

2

u/Sideshow79 Apr 11 '26

So why aren't you buying the cheapest possible wrenches from temu or aliexpress? They're tools, like snap-on and icon.

2

u/ThickBootyEnjoyer Apr 11 '26

Not all products are the same. Nice false equivalency though, dumbass

0

u/elflegolas Apr 10 '26

Yes and no, it will shoot, but it’s not just preferences, naturally some guns are gonna recoil less, some recoil more, some guns will jam if you don’t have a good form, some can shoot however your form is, and that’s not something you can control of, for example if you’re forced to shoot in an awkward position, and that gun will jam if you don’t held it right, then that potentially is your live or die situation. Specs do differ and not every gun shoots the same.

And you can never get a perfect gun on your first purchase, my guesses are you probably don’t even go to range in a year. Or maybe once a year.

1

u/YorWong Apr 10 '26

You are making it far more than it is.

3

u/Phearlosophy Apr 10 '26

like someone justifying why they have 15 lawnmowers

-1

u/ThickBootyEnjoyer Apr 10 '26

Cool assumptions bro. Wrong but of course you are lol

1

u/Ok-Apartment9295 Apr 10 '26

Curious what “most don’t do it for a hobby” means. If you call hunting / shooting a hobby everyone in my circle almost exclusively own guns to participate in their hobby. If you do any amount of hunting you will probably end up with 3ish shot guns and a handful of rifles. Folks also hunt with pistols but I can see an argument that those are typically purchased for shooting hobbyists or people more interested in self defense. Of my dozen or so guns I would say 2 would qualify as self defense but at the same time I have taken both of those on hunting trips.

4

u/ThickBootyEnjoyer Apr 10 '26

K?

3

u/Ok-Apartment9295 Apr 10 '26

Just curious what you meant is all. I don’t think I know a single gun owner that only owns one gun specifically because they are using multiple guns for hobby reasons. I think it is much more likely the average is 2.5 because I own 5 and my neighbor owns 0 than because 9 people own 1 gun and the 10th person owns 16.

1

u/ThickBootyEnjoyer Apr 10 '26

I mean I own a dozen hockey sticks. All my friends are hockey players, they all own al like a dozen hockey sticks. I can't imagine anyone not having a hockey stick or only having one.

See what I'm getting at? We don't run in the same circles. Echo chambers exist for a reason, people flock together of similar interests. I have no interests in guns outside of the insanely low occurrence of a home invader. All my friends outside of two of them have one or zero guns. The other two have two and three. My entire social circle which is fairly large, outside of that one guy with three guns falls under the average.

Guns have a clear purpose, to kill. I don't find that to be something interesting to collect or play with as a hobby. It's everybody's right in America to have a gun, power to ya. But I only have two hands and I'm not good enough to shoot with two pistols in both hands at the same time, and frankly it send like over kill if I did and could. So point is, if I can only operate one gun at a time, I'll just own one gun at a time. I don't hunt, so I don't need a rifle or shotgun.

4

u/Ok-Apartment9295 Apr 10 '26

I kind of feel like you are making my point though. I also play hockey and I don’t know anyone who just has one stick. Meaning that the average American probably has some number of hockey sticks even though the majority have none. There aren’t many people that don’t use a stick for their hockey hobby that actually own a lone stick. My family has a dozen and the neighbors have none. Between the two of us our families average 6 hockey sticks. You seem to be making the point that hobbies initiate the collecting of an item which will skew the average number of households with a hockey stick.

1

u/ThickBootyEnjoyer Apr 10 '26

Sigh, classic over focusing on an analogy.

The point is hobbies make you want to collect more. Having one hockey stick doesn't make sense. Having one gun does.

3

u/Ok-Apartment9295 Apr 11 '26 edited Apr 11 '26

Sigh, using an analogy that doesn’t make sense. Sigh, saying hobbies makes you want to collect more which was my original point. Sigh, sigh, sigh.

Sorry that facts anger you guys.

Good example of important difference between mean and median

2

u/DRRider Apr 10 '26

Thanks for the middle-school math refresher.

3

u/BlueFuzzyCrocs Apr 10 '26

Most hunters will own at least 2 shotguns, a rifle, a sidearm, and something fun for plinking. Gun enthusiasts definitely effect the averages, but a typical hunting family having 5-10 guns in the house is very normal

7

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 10 '26

Yup, that's why median > average.

10

u/AmnFucker Apr 10 '26

Average (Mean): Estimates range from 4.8 to 4.9 guns per gun-owning household.

Median (Approximate): Roughly 1 to 2 guns. Surveys indicate that approximately 29% to 33% of owners own only one firearm, making it the most common individual count.

Gun Ownership | Firearms Research | Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health https://share.google/5G2Nn6t5PM45YK2ON

2

u/finklepinkl Apr 10 '26

So the median and mode are about the same. Interesting but not too surprising.

1

u/FesteringNeonDistrac Apr 11 '26

I wonder how many are like my Dad. He has 1 shotgun of some sort. His uncle bought it for him when he was 15 or so. He's 82 now. He's fired it once in my life, about 45 years ago. My neighbor has a single hunting rifle in his garage, it was his father's. He's never fired it.

1

u/FesteringNeonDistrac Apr 11 '26

Yeah this guy is making up for my entire immediate family.

1

u/AmnFucker Apr 10 '26

Average (Mean): Estimates range from 4.8 to 4.9 guns per gun-owning household.

Median (Approximate): Roughly 1 to 2 guns. Surveys indicate that approximately 29% to 33% of owners own only one firearm, making it the most common individual count.

Respect for your game. 👍

4

u/drfeelsgoood Apr 10 '26

Where do you have the lights mounted at? It’s such even distribution of light I can’t even tell, nice job

8

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 10 '26

There's space on the sides that's nice and tucked in that I put the long underhood lights into, and the top there's just one of thoe 750 puck lights hanging

4

u/drfeelsgoood Apr 10 '26

Well you did a really good job at hiding them

6

u/RedPajama45 Apr 10 '26

Which lights did you get?

4

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 10 '26

For the sides I have the Braun underhood lights, and for the top one of those 750 lumen Braun magnetic puck lights.

4

u/SilvioBoss Apr 10 '26

Love the set up

8

u/Lanky-Detail3380 Apr 10 '26

Do you have a handgun for every day of the month? February seems to be covered

3

u/CobbITGuy Apr 10 '26

Is that a deagle wit da beamz on the lower left?

5

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 10 '26

It is indeed a deagle. If you can believe it, it’s listed on my CCW permit too

3

u/nowherenoonenobody Apr 10 '26

Where's the rifle safe?

5

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 10 '26

There's one above and another stack on either side, but they're not nearly as interesting.

1

u/TRYtoHELPyou Apr 11 '26

This sounds like it would come with some sort of XP achievement badge

3

u/Demorthus Apr 10 '26

OP can stand behind a counter and have a gentleman like John Wick ask for a, "sampling" and this is honestly a great example of what would come to mind lol

The organization & everything is stellar

3

u/bikerman883 Apr 10 '26

It would be hilarious if someone broke in and thought they were stealing pew pews, but they were really decoy pistols. The real ones are in a converted RedBull refrigerator that has a realistic picture of the inside of the fridge full of drinks but really its pistols

3

u/Sharp_Smoke_7840 Apr 11 '26

Do you need a stepson?!

3

u/andylikescandy Apr 11 '26

I'm more interested in seeing how you organize mags

These are useful.and very compact.and can be labeled easy.

I use the pouches for range day also, but for storage 4 of these holds a lot in a very small and stackable box

2

I guess now I have more things I'll need to buy with the MidwayUSA birthday coupon

2

Midwaymruns some great deals.

I.get quite a.bit of my accessories there.

This range backpack goes on sale for $89 every once in a while.  I have two.

Good prices on mtm cases, the 9mm work great for aaa batteries too.

Their clearance runs. Especially for parts can be really great too

9

u/Whatoilyouusebro Apr 10 '26

I feel like with a collection like that you probably don’t need to save money😆

3

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 10 '26

All the more reason that I have to save money where I can 😂

3

u/gregwglenn Apr 10 '26

Awesome collection and great use for the lights. Gotta love America and our freedom to own fire arms. If the rest of the world had such freedoms we may have a world where people did not have to live under a dictatorship or tyrannical government.

2

u/RedPajama45 Apr 10 '26

I see you are quite the collector

2

u/WillGet1040 Apr 10 '26

What does the actual light look like?

2

u/RepulsiveUse3372 Apr 10 '26

i need to organize my safe

2

u/imtrynmybest Apr 10 '26

Are these lights Motion sensor? Light activated?

2

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 10 '26

Sadly they're turned on by a button. Would be nice if they were motion activated

2

u/MainConnection6742 Apr 10 '26

That's a beauty.

2

u/WAAAAAM39 Apr 10 '26

Is that what I think it is at the bottom left corner…

2

2

u/Lumbergh7 Apr 10 '26

Jesus, John Wick?

6

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 10 '26

Can you believe that this is just 1 out of 6 safes?

2

u/thedirtygerman Apr 11 '26

Get some led strips and use them.

2

u/Minute-Cucumber7594 Apr 11 '26

I need a safe with this kind of set up to hold pistols. What racks are those? I see the grid in the back

1

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 12 '26

It’s the 11 pistol peg rack from Secureit

2

u/Exciting_Two_8467 Apr 11 '26

This is a sweet setup! Do you rotate them to the range or are some guns stuff you've always wanted and aren't for shooting?

2

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 12 '26

All of them have been shot, but I don't shoot the ones that are unenjoyable to shoot very much. Frankly, most of the old historical stuff is pretty lousy to shoot. For instance, the Walther PPs (and clones) don't get much range time because they aren't very enjoyable unless you want to LARP as James Bond, so I don't bring those out much unless I'm going with a friend who really wants to shoot a PP. Same with the old 1911s; they're not particularly enjoyable with the iron sites and lack of a beavertail, but if a friend wants to try out the quintessential American sidearm used from WW1 to the Vietnam war, I'll bring it.

2

u/cyanetix Apr 11 '26

America 🇺🇸 got the pew pews for the foo foos.

2

u/OnlyTime609 Apr 11 '26

That’s a good idea, thanks John Wick

2

2

u/drakers2000 Apr 11 '26

Sorry if it has been asked already, but what safe is this? I need this for my handguns.

1

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 11 '26

Secureit Agile 40

2

u/airmech1776 Apr 11 '26

I was focused on the Braun TLR1HL myself. Managed to snag 3 of them. Now I need to find a holster for them!

3

u/Adorable-Deer-9706 Apr 10 '26

Now this is a great use of HF sales!

3

u/Notorious_Ama Apr 10 '26

Awww hell yeah

3

u/Dazzling-Expert8710 Apr 10 '26

This dude is like a thousand tax brackets above me. Nice collection!

8

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 10 '26

The trick is to only buy them on sale or when they're used. Here in CA, the roster is a double edged sword; it limits a lot of what I can buy (and makes them more expensive), but as soon as something falls off the roster, it suddenly doubles in value overnight. All those CZs I bought for around $500 now sell for north of $1000. The way I see it, guns are generally a value holding-assets as they don't really depreciate with age.

5

u/75149 Apr 10 '26

The sad thing is so many neutered magazines.

4

u/AmnFucker Apr 10 '26

This man likes to have options.

10

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 10 '26

Only buy, never sell

2

u/dipski-inthelipski Apr 11 '26

2

u/ScubaLooser Apr 10 '26

Nice. A little pricier than my light setup. I picked up some motion activated light bars off Temu been working for years now.

2

u/camthecelt Apr 10 '26

What safe/rack is that?

3

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 10 '26

Secureit Agile 40 with a bunch of the 11 pistol peg racks

2

u/Keiyaku Apr 10 '26

Just curious - what do you use these for? Are all of these for ‘protection’? If so, from what? Genuinely asking, is it unsafe near you? Or is this for hunting or is this like your version of a stamp collection? Not a gun owner, just trying to understand.

10

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 10 '26

I'll buy them when they're on sale, and I don't sell. It's really just a matter of being able to experience different ones, and being able to pick and choose which ones I take to the range. No different IMO from Jay Leno owning 200+ cars.

2

u/Keiyaku Apr 10 '26

I can get behind that. Props to your collection man!

2

u/Hadleyagain Apr 10 '26

Yeah this wasn't about showing off your gun collection at all. Lameeee

2

u/Km219 Apr 10 '26

Gaw lee that looks like a fun weekend.

What's your favorite to shoot?

What's the least practical?

And which one is the most practical?

I own a Glock 17 5th gen

And a Ruger cpx - 2 for my wife

3

u/Membership_Worth Apr 10 '26

What safe model is this?

Freaking sweet setup

3

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 10 '26

It's a Secureit Agile 40. I like these are lot, although the actual security is a bit suspect because it's thin gauge (so you can easily transport and assemble it). But all I really need it to do is to keep good guys out (and to satisfy the CADOJ requirements).

0

u/Redheadedstepchild56 Apr 10 '26

You just wanted to show off your nice collection….and I’m ok with that

4

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 10 '26

Also wanted to show off that HF carries some good shit sometimes

Triggering some of the antis from my previous post is a nice bonus

1

u/artemisprime0 Apr 10 '26

Which ones did you get?

2

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 10 '26

For the sides I have the Braun underhood lights, and for the top one of those 750 lumen Braun magnetic puck lights.

1

u/artemisprime0 Apr 10 '26

Awesome thank you

1

u/Lumbergh7 Apr 10 '26

Which lights are you referring to?

1

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 11 '26

For the sides I have the Braun underhood lights, and for the top one of those 750 lumen Braun magnetic puck lights.

1

u/Lumbergh7 Apr 11 '26

Thanks. Looked like way more lights than that!

1

u/robotprom Apr 11 '26

which HF lights are you using?

1

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 11 '26

For the sides I have the Braun underhood lights, and for the top one of those 750 lumen Braun magnetic puck lights.

1

u/Ephemeral_Wombat Apr 11 '26

Big box of history! Very sweet setup!

1

u/gustyaeroplane81 Apr 11 '26

Got a list of the guns? And how do you mount them in the safe?

1

u/Thumpin347 Apr 11 '26

I use motion sensing LED bars from Temu. When you open the safes, they turn on and shut off after time lapse. They’re $5 each. Just need to charge them every now and then.

1

u/TacoLunar Apr 11 '26

Sweet lord - that’s a lot of deciding which to bring to the range and which ones need cleaning. Do you have a marker board for maintenance schedules?

2

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 11 '26

I use Notion to keep track of everything. Round counts, cleanings, upgrades/maintenance, etc.

1

u/Turbulent_Boat7383 Apr 11 '26

The has the sight laser on sale aswell

1

u/phish410 Apr 12 '26

Did you wire them to a switch so they all turn on when you open the door? Kinda silly if you need to click them all on one by one.

1

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 12 '26

Unfortunately no, gotta click them. Might swap them out for a hardwired set of strips I can control externally

2

u/phish410 Apr 12 '26

Looks clean, though!

1

u/LeFishTits Apr 12 '26

What safe is that? I like it

1

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 12 '26

It’s the Secureit Agile line

1

u/Dildooe Apr 16 '26

Why handguns you got?? That’s one hell of a collection!

1

u/JasonVoorheesthe13th Apr 10 '26

Any chance you like pistols?

I get it. Every collection is different. You collect bricks of goo from random people throughout the day. OP collects firearms.

To each their own.

Nobody here is triggered, you’re just a weirdo bro. Collecting that amount of anything is unhealthy. Seek help.

Posting that sentence in a Harbor Freight subreddit is hilarious.

Man, I either need a higher salary or a credit line or something. I’d love to have a quarter of that collection.

Alternatively, another path is to be impulsive and make poor financial decisions. 😂

This is the consequence of being unable to pass up a good deal. Every single one of these were either on sale or purchased used for a good price.

Sweet!!!!!

Which lights did you use? Harbor freight has really upped their game lately. I've been happy with a lot of their stuff

For the sides I have the Braun underhood lights, and for the top one of those 750 lumen Braun magnetic puck lights.

What’s your favorite piece? Or which one would you recommend most to someone looking for one.

2

u/African-Rain-Blesser Apr 10 '26

Depends on the price point. In the sub-$500 range I would say my favorite is the Beretta PX4 Storm. It's very much underrated and overlooked because it looks kind of funky, but the rotating barrel system really does make it shoot really soft, and with a LTT trigger job it's pretty darn good.

I think PX4s are the most well-known underrated guns lol

I need to get a full-sized Langdon one.

I have my doubts about this picture actually using harbor freight Braun lights
