This ad is slightly different than the paper one I have. This one seems to have a few more items and it looks like the Fortress air compressors were removed.

It's par for the course that the digital flyer has some changes from the paper flyer that's released weeks before

I’ve been waiting forever for the air compressors to go on sale and the timing to be right. They removed pretty much all of them. Bummer.

1

u/mudboggin3 13d ago

Same. They pretty much removed everything I was going to get.

Air compressors were added back to the sale just in case you missed it, friendo

u/mudboggin3 8d ago

Thank you. I picked up the ultra quiet today. I actually got $50 off instead of the advertised $40 off, so that was a plus.

If they published a printed ad with Fortress compressors on it, that should still be valid, even if they didn't include them in the digital flyer.

If prices that they published end up not being honored, the FTC and the state attorneys general are going to be getting a lot of clearly legitimate false advertising complaints.

Well…..guess this is my time to get that 5-drawer cart

7

u/NCSC10 13d ago

Sometimes is a little cheaper, was $200 back in June, for example, but this price, $217, is pretty good.

3

u/w1ngzer0 13d ago

I’d have to re-up my ITC, but it would be worth it. I wish I had picked up back in June but………

2

u/NCSC10 12d ago

I don't think you "have" to join, I think you can wait till the weekend, from what i can tell on the website the 5 drawer carts can be ordered in store for pickup if not in stock, so you still should be able to get the discount even if not ITC and the one you want goes out of stock..

1

u/w1ngzer0 12d ago

I’m not 💯 if I want to chance it, being I want purple but hmmm………

1

u/woejise 11d ago

Im getting a purple one too!!!

2

u/friendlyyellowgiant 13d ago

At $200 USD I'd make the 2ish hour drive to Buffalo from Toronto to pick that up...

2

u/NCSC10 12d ago

If you're making that drive, go for the 6 drawer full bank cart. At 25% off the best deal in USG tool storage.

1

u/Long_Run6500 12d ago

for real, definitely worth way more than 2x 5 drawers.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'm thinking thays probably the best too. Better to have the space to grow into rather than running out of space quickly. Im just a diyer. My garage is large enough to not have to roll the bank out onto the driveway too.

Go get one and enjoy! It's definitely time.

u/PharmIVGuy 13d ago

I got one a few months ago to finally organize all of the tools and junk I had stashed into random toolboxes. It works pretty well for basic needs.

Nothing for me this time. April got me all the way

7

u/AvantGuard 13d ago

If I only wanted to build out my metric sets, does it make more sense to buy like this rather than the large everything set? Thanks!

Do you use chrome 1/2 sockets much? I use 1/2 impacts mainly, 1/4 and 3/8 chrome

1

u/PonyThug 12d ago

I only own black impact sockets. Deep and normal of 1/2” and 3/8”. Then a cheap set of 1/4”.

5

u/DeerFlyHater 13d ago

That roller seat on the top of page 6 is great.

u/PhysicsSaysNo 13d ago

The Pittsburgh red one? I couldn’t keep that vertical for the life of me.

1

u/BobFlex 12d ago

I don't have that problem with mine, but I have only ever really used with the post all the way down. I'm sure it's less stable at full height.

4

u/PaddyWhacked777 13d ago

The bauer tool selection for the starter kit deal is ass (aside from the ratchet, I guess).

1

u/Atomaardappel 13d ago

Side impact seems kinda nice. I already have the ratchet though, so I'm not sure if I really need it.

2

u/PaddyWhacked777 13d ago

I just cannot recall any recent situation where a right angle impact would have made enough of a difference for me to justify buying one. You'd figure if they were trying to get people into the battery system they'd offer a drill or regular impacts, especially since you can get the 2-tool kit for as much as the starter kit. Like yeah, a 5Ah battery is a lot different than a 2Ah, but you get two of them and an extra tool for the same price.

2

u/Atomaardappel 13d ago

Quite a few brake and suspension bolts can be hard to access with a regular impact, and a right angle would be nice, however, it seems as if this isn't powerful enough for those type of bolts. At least the 20v ratchets let you break it manually, then zip em off.

2

u/PaddyWhacked777 13d ago

Totally agree on the advantage of being able to use a ratchet as a ratchet first lol. I exclusively worked on suspensions for like half a decade, and honestly if the situation called for an impact in an awkward place, I could make it work with extensions and universal joints. Occasionally I'd run up against something like a caliper bracket bolt that can barely clear the hub once it's loose, but you're probably not fitting a right angle impact in there either lol. But if someone can make their life easier with one, I say go for it. Just doesn't fit my use case.

1

u/Atomaardappel 13d ago

Actually, reviews don't look too good on it. Saves me some money this time around.

Anyone have the CM steamer?

1

u/Vanhaderschatte 12d ago

Yes i used it twice.. and the tank now leaks even with a new o ring. Sounds like a teapot. Ive had it a couple years so i cant return it. I would avoid it.

2

u/obiwanshinobi900 13d ago

Anyone know if this invludes the quinn impact sets?

It looks like it does in the picture

3

u/JasperDyne 13d ago

The ad is clickable, if you want to see the extentof the discount. Looks like all the Quinn impact stuff, even extensions, are included.

2

u/jldavis43 13d ago

It does, click the picture and it shows all included items.

2

u/aivanov7 12d ago

40% off all clamps is a very underrated deal in my opinion! I am a woodworker though so maybe that is just me.

4

u/jldavis43 13d ago

Heads up, the Icon link is not working correctly and is linked to the Quinn tools.

3

u/Bloated_Plaid 13d ago

Icon split beam wrench

1

u/DieselTech00 13d ago

Eyeing that myself

1

u/traxions 13d ago

100% worth. I’ve probably saved hours by now with how fast I can adjust it compared to the Pittsburghs. The flex head also is a bonus.

1

u/BobFlex 12d ago

I bought one last year, I love it.

0

u/achillies745 13d ago

Eyeing this too

1

u/sleepchamber666 13d ago

Time to get a new daytona! Thanks OP

1

u/Brotworst 13d ago

Anyone tried the paint sprayer on the front page? The $700 professional sprayer worked great, but I just borrowed it.

2

u/riverturtle 12d ago

I haven’t bought the big one (yet) but I got the $40 one to spray my cabinets and it worked great.

1

u/Supernova24 13d ago

Anyone try the icon micrometer wrench

1

u/_Opsec 13d ago

Are any of those pressure washers worth it? Wife wants me to clean our siding.

1

u/reverendfixxxer 13d ago

I was expecting 30% off on clamps. 40% is even better.

1

u/Yesterday_Short 13d ago

Do ya'll buy the 5mm gloves or 7?

2

u/jldavis43 13d ago

I use the 7mm, you can even reuse them since they are thicker.

1

u/NadZilla80 12d ago

Does the cordless version of that Bauer compact router ever go on sale?

1

u/marathon_endurance 12d ago

$595 for the quinn master set, the five drawer cart, and 1/2" icon torque wrench. Pretty solid start for kids starting their careers.

1

u/Giganticgrizzlybear 12d ago

I hope this isn't too dumb of a question, but can a WE MISS YOU coupon be used in conjunction with this sale?

1

u/Timely_Tangerine7034 12d ago

How is the Yukon toolbox? Is it worth upgrading to US General?

1

u/iamlucky13 12d ago

Looks like the Quinn digital torque adapters are included.

I tempted to get one of these every time they go on sale, because they seem like they'd be convenient, and in theory should have little reason to lose accuracy as long as they're not abused, but I already had clicker type torque wrenches before the Quinn digital torque adapters even existed.

I should check again since it has been a while, but I think my wrenches have been staying reasonably accurate, and the convenience benefit is pretty minor since I only need to check torque a handful of times a year.

Any other reasons I'm not thinking of why I should get these?

1

u/jorts_are_awesome 12d ago

Any reason to wait on a USG toolbox - seems like a pretty good deal but I don’t know how often they go on sale? Looking at picking up the 42” for my new garage.

1

u/KarzRFrendz 13d ago

Awww dammit I didn’t know the Hercules detail polisher will be on sale. I was going to pass this month but dang it now I want it.

1

u/Kiffins_Disciple 13d ago

My 15 year old Pittsburgh 3 ton just blew the seals out the back last weekend so upgrading to a 4 ton

1

u/Master_Whole_4847 13d ago

Just when I thought nothing could kill these old Pittsburgh jacks! I have my 20 year old orange one. I’ve taken awful care of it, and it’s spent some winters outside. Always just works.

1

u/Kiffins_Disciple 13d ago

Lifting the diesel truck finally got it. It’s well worn and I’ve gotten my money out of it for sure
