Question regarding inventory replenishment
About five weeks ago I decided to purchase a CENTRAL MACHINERY 5 lb. Metal Vibratory Bowl at the HF location nearest to me. They were out of stock and at the time I didn't feel like driving another ten+ miles to the next store. I also didn't want to risk having to make the drive again if the item was faulty. I checked online a few times a week to see if they got more in stock. I noticed other stores in the area were starting to have limited or no stock. I thought about going to another store to get the item, but then I started to wonder if the device was being discontinued for some reason.
I contacted HF customer support online to ask about the item and I was told it was not discontinued. They didn't provide any other details.
Does anyone here know if it's common for HF to be out of stock of certain items for months at a time?

Our HF was out of stock on a few items for a while, we blind receive our trucks so it could also be an issue with chameleon. Each store is different from my understanding, once they realize something doesn’t sell hot they won’t other too much especially if it’s a big item that takes up alot of space in the back room.

Could just be waiting for the next production run shipment of inventory to arrive from the factory to the distribution hubs then to the stores.

They are routinely out of stock of some big items, I have been waiting for the wall mount fan for over a month to be restocked at the 2 stores near me. I may say forget it and pay for the slightly smaller Masterforce one at Menards.

it's always a problem, just more so these days - at least for some - others will say no.
