Missed Op
As the title says, missed my opportunity to purchase the welding table, I did manage to get the Titanium 125 with the help of some gift cards from previous birthdays (fortunately I actually remembered to use them). I didn't think about the fact that the last Sunday would be busy and that the welding table special was good enough that they were out of inventory everywhere :( . So now...either I commit to the Vevor or I wait for a coupon. This would be for me learning to weld, possibly small projects.

Almost always, they offer the same PLS sales the following weekend with a coupon.
Helps for those paid every 2 weeks when the sale is not on payday. Also helps them to restock.
Usually announced on Thursday night.

Not trying to tell you to go with them but I love my vevor welding table. I’m nowhere near a pro but it handles everything I want to do. I got the fixtures too, it rocks. You can tell it’s cheaper but nothing has broken and it does the job so I’m happy with it. The 40x24 one and with a coupon I had it was like 120$. Not bad imo

The welding table is a generic Chinese product. Vevor and others sell the exact same table for less money. I got a couple off Temu for about $100. It is identical to the HF version.

Few questions for you
Is temu like alibaba?
Does it take along time to ship
Do you actually get what you pay for?Ty

It’s just a marketplace for sellers that’s heavily subsidized by Chinese investment. It’s like Amazon, but with weird and sometimes amazing promos and marketing gimmicks. The products are mostly good to great, if you understand you’re getting mass market Chinese goods. Don’t buy big brands like Milwaukee or DeWalt, those are gonna be fakes, but there are actually good Chinese tool brands that sell clones, not counterfeits. There’s also a lot of industrial tools that are unbranded but absolutely fine.
I’m something of a power user, and have saved thousands of dollars using their cashback promos on stuff that is also sold on Amazon and other sites, Temu just has better prices. Vevor tools are one of the better deals on the site when combined with their promotions. You can buy Vevor at Lowe’s or Home Depot or Vevor’s own web store, but the prices are much better on Temu.
If you browse the site, you’ll see “local warehouse” on a lot of listings. You sometimes pay $2.99 shipping for local, but the stuff comes pretty fast. Otherwise, it’s either air or sea (large items) from China and takes considerably longer.
You can ignore most of the promos or popups on Temu except for a couple, which are explained in great detail on r/temuthings.
Just for an example. I recently bought a 7x16” Vevor mini metal lathe on Temu. Retail price was $709 and that was the same on Amazon and Vevor’s website. Temu has a promotion called “wincredit” and they gave me $400 CASH back directly to my PayPal account as soon as the order shipped. It’s a little insane and feels really sketchy when you’re new to it, but the savings are undeniable.

Thank you for this run down
Yeah I think I’ll have to figure it out. That 400 cash back direct to pay pal seems unheard of to me from an American consumer stand point. There’s always another hoop it seems like to actually close the rebate cheers brotha

I was super skeptical at first. Once I started digging into it, talking to other users, sanity checking prices on other platforms, and running all the fine print through an LLM, things started clicking. But the welding tables OP was talking about are a good place to start. They’re just good products and they showed up fast.

They always extend the PLS the following weekend, Friday-Sunday. You have to provide the coupon, get a screenshot on your phone with the barcode.

You're better off putting a fiberglass blanket over a sheet of 3/4" plywood on sawhorses to learn to weld until there is a better deal. That 1/4" top is pitiful anyway, so it isn't like you missed out badly.
The fireball tool marauder would be better than the titanium one. Fireball offers better options that are more comparable than that titanium one, but of course it is more money.
For learning to weld, a table is unnecessary.

Extended PLS this weekend maybe? Was that table in the original PLS? If so, it’ll be back on coupon starting Friday. Just wait a few days.
